  1. That method wouldn’t work in College Station. It would go unnoticed.
  2. This Embraer Phenom 300E would be cool….
  3. I was a total fuckup in high school and was only in the top 25%, but could breathe. So they let me in.
  4. Fall semester 1962 - registered for 15 hours and paid about $15 for my student blanket pass. Total cost was slightly less than $100.
  5. They seem to fill their glory holes consistently.
  6. Like “free” rescue dogs from the pound, free inherited jewelry from Grandma can wind up being costly. This antique 100+ year old platinum-mounted ring Mrs. Brat was gifted from her grandmother as a child became one of her favorites, which upon reaching adulthood she wore daily on her right hand up until about 25 years ago. The mount had developed a couple of problems such as a missing “link” or two from around the edge, and the finger “loop” had split. So off to our local longtime mom & pop jewelry shop for repair. Two weeks and $647 later we picked it up today. Looks like the old man did a proper job, I guess, but at least he shined it up nicely. Hopefully Granddaughter will wear it someday when Grandma gifts it to her. If not, perhaps one of the grandsons will have an appreciative spouse who will like to have it.
  7. Well, just keep Vance away from them.
  8. Son’s friend had to write a $10,000,000 check to his ex when their divorce was finalized. Plus she got their 6,000 sq/ft McMansion and the Mercedes. Her replacement seems to be worth it to him.
  9. My son’s friend is paying $3,500/night for his hotel suite by Lake Cuomo…
  10. RIP Pope Francis. At least you tried.
  11. And claiming fake championships ever since they joined the SEC. Dates added to their stadium upfront shoulda told ya.

  15. I was still in my upper 30s at the time, so eyesight was functioning.
  16. First roundabout I ever went around was on Tokyo’s Ginza Strip in 1957. It was six lanes and packed with little taxicabs, including ours, all trying to outrace each other to their desired exits or lanes. There was one traffic cop/observer (wearing a smog mask) standing atop a wooden platform in the center watching the wild & crazy mess - for what purpose I don’t know. Maybe to call for an ambulance if needed. But at least we learned where all the leftover Kamakazi pilots were employed.
  17. Gave up riding my badass bike to work 44 years ago after a couple of near misses - old folks not seeing me.

Agreed, but the place is too noisy and difficult to carry on a conversation.
  19. It was in rough shape when my brother worked there 35 years ago.
