  1. Loud noises!
  2. Because Invesco probably wrote a really, really, really big check.
  3. You're gonna grow your own Liquid Smoke?
  4. Post Oak isn't gay but his boyfriend is.
  5. Pat Curry seems like he sucks. Pat Curry earned a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M. His career experience includes working as an entrepreneur, owning and operating multiple businesses, and as a farmer and rancher. https://ballotpedia.org/Pat_Curry
  6. Lawrenceville is 25 miles from downtown Atlanta. It's not exactly the boonies.
  7. No idea on brunch ideas but we're staying on 44th on the same black as the Algonquin. Love that place even if they did fuck up the Blue Room bar. We went to LA Espina in SOHO alst night. I know Texans frown on Mexican food in other locales but it was great and it has a speakeasy feel. You enter through a diner and go underground. We hit Ferrara's for dessert later. Awesome treats.
  8. It would help if I knew the actual name of Clooney's play... Good Night and Good Luck.
  9. I was not involved
  10. Goodbye and Good Luck was phenomenal. Very powerful with the ending that was added for today's world.
  11. Got in the standby line for a taping of the Kelly Clarkson show with Kal Penn as guest host, Stanley Tucci as the main guest and Iliza Schlesinger. We knew when we got in line that was the lineup otherwise I'd have probably passed. We were walking by NBC Studio when a page approached us about going standby. It took less than 40 minutes until we were in the studio. It was pretty cool to see an episode of a TV show get done.
  12. We got in yesterday. Staying in a VRBO in 44th between 5th and 6th. Great spot for homebasing to shows. The ladies went to And Juliet last night and loved it. Going to Goodnight and Goodbye with George Clooney tonight.
  13. No pantsuit?
  14. Private companies have been dumping WFH too. Even those that had some kind of WFH pre-covid. My company is making most people come in 5 days a week now.
  15. I was talking to someone about how the economy of the 1890s is vastly different than today's world. When I brought this up, the other person was gobsmacked. They truly didn't grasp that trade, technology, etc. was so different back then.
  16. I was in a Walmart yesterday and the location had ammo. It still cracks me up that they sell 30-06 and .308 but not .223/5.56. I can buy ammo for a BAR or an AR-10 but not an AR-15.
  17. Financial literacy is also a huge problem. I routinely meet with employees as part of my job to talk about the company's 401k plan. The number of people in their 50s who have under 100k saved for retirement is scary.
  18. She should mention that an immigrant stole the job of First Lady.
  19. You have a newsletter? How come I only keep getting dick pics and cat facts?
  20. I avoid using the T slur by using "transformer" instead.
