  1. @JGHorn That's the second time in the last day or so your posts have included a blank quote of my post. Your shit's borked, bruh
  2. Then you're being willfully obtuse and blinded by your emotions. It's painfully obvious who is to blame for that. And even if it wasn't as obvious as it is, the relationship between CDC and Schloss should make it abundantly clear that CDC had absolutely nothing to do with the story getting out Monday morning.
  3. This has been reported before. I think the clause actually provided for a different buyout if he left for another in-state school, but it's pretty obvious who they had in mind.
  4. Stop giving this nonsense any light of day. Nothing he did was immoral. It's a fucking job. Whether he moved for more money, his good relationship with CDC, his bad relationship with the Aggy AD, his obvious annoyance with their fan base at times throughout the season, or something else entirely, it doesn't fucking matter. He clearly didn't give up on the team or sabotage shit. The deal was in place long before Monday night. If he had given up on the team, it would've shown much earlier than the final two games of the season. He took them to within an out of their first national championship. Nobody accused him of making any questionable personnel calls. They just got barely outplayed by a more talented Tennessee team. I would argue that a coach leaving mid-season isn't even "immoral." Shitty, yeah, not immoral though. But taking the team that close to a title and then moving on to his new gig after the season was over isn't the slightest bit immoral AT ALL. Would waiting a week make it better somehow? Two weeks? Because that delay affects your new employer while causing equal damage to your old one. Or is staying in your job until retirement the only acceptable path these mouth breathers deem acceptable?
  5. Fuck outta here with that. It was a stupid question that the reporter knew would not and could not be answered in an acceptable way. It was to draw attention upon himself and whatever outlet he worked for, nothing else. It was bullshit, he knew it, and Schloss answered with the dignity and respect due to such a hack.
  6. Taking another job after the season ends is "at least equal if not worse" than throwing the World Series to make money? I don't know why I'm constantly amazed by how fucking stupid they are, but this is an exceptionally hot take.
  7. My money is on it will "leak" when either: a) CDC says it's ok to do so, because if there was anybody shitty enough to leak already in the know, they would've done so by now (see, Kurt Bohls), or b) players from a certain school all of a sudden start hitting the portal and/or talking about it after a team meeting. Like with Sark, we'll know before the official announcement.
  8. Think of who you're talking about. Gonna need you to be way more specific when referencing a weird video.
  9. You think the decision wasn't already made prior to last night? Like, the dumbass rumor that "whoever loses will be the new hire" were real? Think about how stupid that sounds. Whether it's Schloss or Vitello, last night's game didn't have any bearing on the decision.
  10. So yeah, uh, there was a slight mixup, quite silly if you think about it. Schloss and Vitello have the exact same set of luggage, and Schloss accidentally grabbed Vitello's stuff when he left last night and nobody realized until he landed in Austin. CDC, being the classy guy he is, sent the plane to Knoxville to return it.
  11. Meh. He's not a "great" coach, but he's not a bad one either. He can be good somewhere else. But "good" just doesn't cut it here.
  12. Why do people keep saying we're Schloss's rival? Far as I know, he never had any connection to A&M prior to taking the HC gig. Is it stemming from his time at TCU? If so, he coached for like 10 years while A&M was still in the conference also.
  13. As fa as I can tell, they will not have the rights to air any live games, regardless of whether they're broadcast somewhere else or not. Live football statcast is clearly stated as being available, but I'm unsure as to what they mean by "play by play" radio. Is that for all games, all sports (except when there's a conflict between two sports)? Is it just the regular OTA radio broadcasts that have always been available locally (or non-locally with the right app)? That seems most likely to me, but hopefully it's more.
  14. Did they represent everything Texas “A&M” though? Cuz I don’t think I saw that on their jerseys.
  15. We aren’t known for being reckless with contracts. If it’s in that ballpark, that’d almost assuredly be for the entire staff, not just the HC. That could also be the total possible if all performance incentives are met. I don’t have a fucking clue, but I refuse to believe CDC would do something completely out of character like that, even considering all the non-tangible aspects of poaching him from the sheepfuckers. One way or the other, guess we’ll know soon enough if all this is just silly internet gossip. One thing I do believe, without having heard it anywhere other than internet chatter from people I know nothing about, is that Pierce leaked it to Bowels as a final fuck you from both of them.
  16. I don’t think Skip would take the job “in a heartbeat” since he’s well aware of what that clownshow is all about, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if they tried to make him the highest paid coach in the country. That’s the kind of impulsive, irrational decision making they are known for, so I would fully expect it. Then again, if it is Schloss, then you would have to assume they were already unable to counter our offer. So maybe not as much money, but another fully guaranteed contract? I don’t know. I just know I’d hate to see Skip subjected to a future in CS.
  17. They took a team to within one game of a Championship. No idea if they would all come with him if he’s the guy or if he’d be making a few changes/upgrades since I don’t follow Aggy baseball outside of when we played them. As with every staff on every team in every sport, I’m sure there are multiple weak spots
  18. You may be right, but why wasn't it announced days or weeks ago then? Could also be that they wanted to give Pierce a chance to address the team, and also be able to announce the hire at, I don't know, around 9pm this evening? Waiting until today provides the minimum amount of distraction for those still playing. So if it is one of them, it's honoring the request of said new coach.
  19. I believe several folks laughed at the deal on the grounds that the NK artillery might kill more Russians than Ukrainians by malfunctioning
  20. Are these the same helium leaks that were identified on the ground and stated not to be a concern? Or are these totally unrelated helium leaks? What a clusterfuck. Those astronauts have much bigger balls than I.
  21. I don’t get it either. Seems like another thing that the media has just accepted as an actual issue, kinda like the self-pardoning mentioned above. Both of them were on the same side and working towards the same outcome, right? I would absolutely agree it could be a problem if they were on opposing sides of the issue, but that’s not the case here. Who cares if they were banging? Maybe it’s unprofessional, but it’s not illegal afaik, and I don’t see how it has any impact on the legitimacy of the case or the alleged crimes. How does “they were fucking” have any relevance here at all? Is there some underlying issue that I’m missing? Like, they were conspiring together to hide exculpatory evidence or something?
  22. Does any school with a football team also have a reputable culinary program that would even come close to the value of just working in the industry? That doesn’t seem like a skill you really learn in a classroom
  23. I can tell you that a lot of folks around here have plenty to say about Judge Connor. Also, I have litigated a case against that defendant. Don’t believe I’ve crossed paths with his attorney though
