  1. I was following all of this last night and laughing my ass off but there did come a point where I thought of all of the above. I don't think it is possible with MTG in the room. Her, and people like her, drag everyone down to their level. In one of the clips, it seemed to dawn on one member of Congress that the American people deserve better and apologized. Of all people, it was Boobert so of course I don't think it was sincere. I've also heard it said people get the government they deserve and then I get depressed at how fucked up a civilization we have become since winning WW2. There was several million dollars in taxpayer salaries who are supposed to lead in that room but instead they were showing their ass to everyone. I guess because I was laughing at it, I must also be part of the problem. I have no idea how we get out of it.
  2. No understanding of how stupid she is
  3. That's as close as you can get to a goal without scoring for the Rangers
  4. What am I looking at here?
  5. Where I live the water is cold in the winter and I prefer the bidet during that time. Especially refreshing if I've eaten a lot of peppers.
  6. Rangers outmatched the Caps in every way. We're starting to see the hints of sunset on Ovechkin's career.
  7. Not sure if this happened everywhere but my feed cut away to the news before he finished Piano Man
  8. On Surly? Really??
  9. Placeholder. Unless the other nuts talk spork foot off the ledge, we will be back here in a couple of weeks.
  10. I'm in. Thanks for cross posting on the March Madness thread.
  11. This woman is flat out creepy. I can't think of another way to describe her. How is this a rising star?
  12. She's a rising star? Seriously?

  14. I identify with that story so much. I've lived in DC now a little over 20 years. It was bad but gentrifying when we moved here and I've seen a lot. It's not going on the right direction but it's still a 1000 times better than those first couple of years we spent here. Yet, my parents, who sit in northeast Texas and have Fox News on as background, call and ask every couple fee days if I'm alright because they just saw the latest DC crime alert on that channel. They literally wonder if we can make our next visit before getting shot.
  15. So you advise tripling down?
  16. Like anyone would have time to read it
  17. Perhaps you're right. But it seems to me we've decided to make them suffer in painful manner as opposed to stepping on Putin's throat.
  18. I blame nycHorn
  19. Chose to layup and most of the time I don't think of that in time. In this case, probably saved 2 strokes. Wordle 976 4/6 β¬›β¬›πŸŸ¨πŸŸ©πŸŸ¨ β¬›πŸŸ©πŸŸ©πŸŸ©πŸŸ© β¬›β¬›πŸŸ¨β¬›πŸŸ© 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  20. Not to thread jack, but I drive down from DC a couple of times a year to get a fix from zzq. They are the real deal.
  21. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2024/01/29/judge-jan6-riot-insurrection-trump/ Probably behind a paywall so pasted below. My favorite part of this story is Lamberth had already sentenced Little to 60 days but he was released by an appeals court. Lamberth sentenced him anew to two more months in prison, saying Little had shown no remorse or respect for the criminal justice system since the riot. β€œThis is a matter of right versus wrong,” Lamberth said. β€œMr. Little cannot bring himself to admit he did the wrong thing.” Little, appearing by video from his home in Claremont, N.C., shook his head and rolled his eyes as the judge spoke, occasionally muttering to himself.
  22. Don't football up the Cloak Room
