I don't think every Star Wars series or movie going forward needs to be ordinary people like Andor. Everything would then pale in comparison. I would like if the dialogue and screenplays could be Andor-like in what comes next. The issue with the Jedis and lightsabers is I don't see how they can make it any better going forward. The sequels kind of bore that out. It sadly will all be sort of a derivative of the OT. I like the idea of Mangold's movie being set at the origin of the Jedi. You can at least try new things. Or do a Knights of the Old Republic thing. I don't have high hopes for Rey's movie and it's pretty telling that it seems stuck in the mud. The Starfighter movie with Ryan Gosling might be decent because he could make it fun and he won't be playing a Jedi. If it's a Star Wars version of Drive, I'm in.
I say all this and I bet when the Mando and Grogu trailer comes out, we're all going to be excited. I think for the most part, people here enjoyed Ahsoka but the writing and motivations of people like Sabine were not as good. Filoni does have some flaws. Writing dialogue is one of them.
When koopa comes back after 8, it's going to be great.
