  2. 3 + 6 would be fantastic. Bama is probably out but a schedule of OU, aggy, Arkansas, Tennessee, Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss and Mizzou is pretty nice.
  3. Here you go. I'll PM it to you as well.
  4. Perhaps he's not the only one with mental health issues if you're posting this.
  5. Quinn Ewers is serious business?
  6. That's a great list. We haven't really looked east as she hasn't shown any interest. Cal Poly is a great school. My niece goes there. We'll also apply to the latter 4. So far we've got: Trinity, Colorado College, Colorado, Colorado State, UCSD, UC-Irvine, Cal Poly, San Diego St.
  7. This thread but in the form of a book https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/222376640-enshittification
  8. Yes, we're planning to submit all applications before November 1st. We're not leaving anything to the spring other than a final decision. She has a deadline of getting the early draft of her essay to our college guy on Saturday. They'll meet next week to clean it up and work on other prompts. The Common app makes this so much easier than before. She's got most of the other portions done, it's just the essay that's hanging over her head right now. I hear you on the weather. That's the same objection I had to her being interested in Grinnell College in Iowa. That would be one where if she got in and wanted to consider it then we'd need to visit in January or February. Our plan is to go visit some of these if she gets in so she gets an idea of what reality is like at each of them.
  9. This reads like they couldn't find a replacement so he's not leaving. Regardless, let's kick their ass on Monday.
  10. We went to the small college fair on Sunday over in Addison. Our college guidance guy gave us some schools to look at and talk to. It was pretty busy and very loud so talking with colleges wasn't as easy so we just grabbed brochures and talked to ones she was really interested in. She liked Willamette University in Salem, Oregon as well as Reed College in Portland. The lady at Willamette recommended we not even bother visiting unless she gets accepted. If she gets accepted, they reimburse you up to $400 for travel to visit. Not a bad idea honestly. Going on a tour has no impact on whether she gets in or not. We heard otherwise from places like Trinity but maybe that's because it's so competitive to get in there. He also recommended Austin College in Sherman and Southwestern but those had really long lines so we just grabbed their brochures. I'm not sure we're going to take the trip to San Diego so I may just get a travel credit that we can use later after things are more defined for her as far as where she could go. So many of these places have great virtual tours that it can give you an idea of how things are. We can always make a trip later if she gets accepted. There's another small college fair in September that has some she's already interested in/visited like Colorado College and Grinnell. We also are going down to Austin on Columbus Day since she'll be off school. We're going to drive by Southwestern to take a look around and have a full tour for Texas at 2pm. She has a deadline of Saturday to get a draft of her essay to our guy so he can help her. He gave her a great idea on a prompt that she could try so we'll see how it goes.
  11. Shaking my head that we went from it being a given that slavery was bad and a stain on our country's legacy to "well it wasn't all bad". They are that fragile that you can't say this country ever did anything wrong because that challenges American exceptionalism. Of course, they could talk shit about America during the Clinton, Obama, and Biden years but now everything has to be whitewashed.
  12. Is the juice worth the squeeze?
  13. I want to watch it to reconnect with that time because it was so special and so much fun to experience. Then I balance that with the feeling that we are so far from that moment now and have no hope of even sniffing the NFC Championship.
  14. I like these.
  15. I love Juice. The soundtrack is really good and I like how gritty it is as Tupac further loses touch with reality because he has the gun. One of my favorite things about New Jack City is one extra who goes for it when Nino Brown is busted by Ice T and he doesn't kill him. A guy in the background goes "give me the gun, I'll do it".
  16. Just have to stand and salute the team for this one. This is a fleecing. Also includes a buyback option if his potential is achieved.
  17. Nice assist by Bayindir.
  18. Damn. He was great as Zod. If you've never seen The Limey, he was great in that.
  19. Green dildos?
