Yeah, I've told her that part of the issue is she's using my car which is bigger than her mom's car (SUV vs. Accord). My wife's car is more in line with what she would be getting, a smallish sedan/crossover type car. My car is harder to park but I've tried to demonstrate that you sometimes have to course correct, put it in reverse and start over. She starts to get quickly frustrated and gives up when things get difficult. It's a trait she's had her whole life. I reminded her that the driving test is over all functionality of the car, not just driving on the street or highway. She's a kid that simultaneously wants freedom but also needs us close by. We're down to the final 2 years of high school next fall and I've tried to move her towards this now being the time you have to start doing more of this yourself if you expect to move away for college. She's very dependent on us for things and I'm trying to get her to start moving away from that because she has to grow beyond us and stand on her own two feet eventually. I'm hoping the car helps with that.
