  1. Dorothy tchookem IS A SAINT!
  2. I just had a discussion with my mom who hates Trump, but thinks both sides are awful about an article in the Liberty, Texas newspaper. The article was about Operation Lone Star filing in the "gaps" left by Biden's failed border policy. Her thought was that it's just a small town paper, it can't be THAT slanted. My mom is a smart lady that sincerely wants what's best for everyone, but after years of my having my stepdad's FoxNews in the background, I'm afraid some is seeping in.
  3. People, people... The Constitution doesn't say anything about women testifying to Congress. Checkmate Libs.
  4. I'm not sure criminal penalties are the problem, so much as access. They won't have to prosecute women, they just close the clinics. Can't get (safe) abortions if there aren't clinics to provide them.
  5. Son just got out of isolation after testing positive. We had just returned from 18 hours in the car together. Wife and I tested negative, but have both felt pretty shitty, so we're pretty certain we had it at dinne point. I'm not angry because we got COVID. We let our guard down on this trip. I walked into a packed South Carolina Buc-ee's without my mask half-joking in my head, "yeah, this will be where I catch COVID". For 2.5 years we did everything we were supposed to do to avoid getting and spreading COVID, and the second we slacked off, we got it. Luckily we're not feeling too sick and if do the hospitals aren't overwhelmed anymore. But what this all tells me, is just how easy it is to catch and spread this thing. It also tells me, that it's completely possible to avoid catching and spreading this thing. So for 2.5 years my family did everything we were supposed to do to avoid catching and spreading COVID. I wore a mask, my son wore a mask, my wife stayed home. We did our part. Meanwhile so many other Americans did NOTHING to avoid COVID... and 1 Million people died. That makes me angry.
  6. Jesus fucking Christ...
  7. I had the exact same experience, down to the rote memorization. I think I looked it up in an encyclopedia or tracked down it's location in the bible. Anyway, I was convinced that I was the lone heathen of the soccer team. I like to think that my coach was a good man, that he'd never intentionally make any of his players feel excluded. I think he was just looking for a way to end practice. Then you see this coach performance praying with a football in front of the Supreme Court like a Tik Tok preacher... and that tells me exactly the kind of coach and Christian he is.
  8. Top-right is looking at him the way I look at a BBQ sandwich.
  9. They will when they need an abortion.
  10. So, the next time Ted Cruz flies to Mexico, it may actually be because his daughter demanded it.
  11. And that would be my rebuttal... great minds and all.
  12. I'm sure the point he's trying to make is that SCOTUS has overturned bad decisions in past. Plessy was the bad decision overturned by Brown. He didn't word it well, because he's not good at this.
  13. Cointerpoint: They're actually okay with homophobia, misogyny, anti-democratic shit. They just want the plausible deniability of not saying it out loud.
  14. What's the point of letting him show his ass? If this were real life and he could be shamed into acting right, sure. But he's shown repeatedly that he had no shame, so we're just forced to listen to him. I say this as someone who has him on ignore, yet I constantly sees his trolling in quotes.
  15. Are you suggesting we abort the sock before it grows any more?
  16. They'll be long dead and buried. History's judgement isn't something they'll have to experience, but these Liberal tears are here and now.
  17. It's like watching Smeagol v. Gollum in Lord of the Rings... if Gollum had won.
  18. That be true if we lived in a majority-ruled society.
  19. Crazy thing that I realized today... if Donald Trump had handled his presidency the way Joe Biden is handling his, Donald Trump would have won the 2020 popular and electoral vote in a landslide. I'm talking Reagan in '84 landslide.
  20. Yes. The door is opens from the inside, but there is no way to lock it from the inside. You cannot enter without a key or unless someone inside opens the door. We used to be allowed to prop doors open or put magnets over the latches, but they stopped allowing it a couple years ago. They even sent principals around during class to close any propped doors. You are not captive in the room, but your movement in and out is limited.
  21. Nope. The keyhole is only on the outside door handle, and there is no lock/unlock switch inside the classroom. We are told to lock the classroom door from the outside and keep it locked at all times. My school also instructed us to keep the door closed at all times. If a student leaves for the bathroom they have to let back in by someone inside the room or by someone with a key. Prisons... schools... what's the difference really?
  22. He'd make Fredo look like John Wick.
  23. I was going to ask which countries he would rank higher and explain his reasoning, but you're right just identifying 3 other countries would be too much stress at his cognitive level.
  24. Yeah, that's all true too. I can see both scenarios happening exactly as we describe them. We're trying to predict the behavior of an 80 year-old toddler, it'd be fun if it didn't have actual consequences like 1M dying of a virus or the potential downfall of our republic.
  25. Trump doesn't run. The RNC will pay Trump so much money and prop him up as the Godfather meets Wizard of Oz backroom dealmaker that MADE Desantis. Trump will get everything he wants (money, influence, and the appearance of power) with none of the bothersome work that goes into being rich, influential, and powerful.
