  1. Well I cannot think of anything closer to libertarianism in the real-world than Russia (maybe Somalia). So yeah, I guess libertarians did do this.
  2. Well, she didn't exist until 1989 either, but we still let her spew her bullshit every chance she gets. Or does only being 32 years old give other people license to kick the shit out of her for no damn reason?
  3. He may or may not know, but I can assure you he doesn't care.
  4. Almost as clueless as someone complaining about liberals' influence in Texas politics, but there's Sid Miller, and Ken Paxton, and Dan Patrick, and Greg Abbott, blaming every one of our ills on liberal policies. I get what you're saying, but the asshats claiming to be "libertarian-leaners" have more sway than you're giving them credit for.
  5. Our bad.
  6. Why did Cawthorn arm people in the Capitol? ... Because he couldn't leg them.
  7. You should see how many teachers are on the task force to investigate why teachers are leaving. Go ahead, I dare you.
  8. Normally I love a comedy of awkwardness, but watching people repeatedly engage this troll is too much. It's like trying to scoop punch from the bowl without getting any of the turd in in the ladle.
  9. Maybe they should let schools and teachers do their thing and not turn public education into the battleground for people's grievances both real and imagined. It never seemed to be an issue until one side suddenly wanted to funnel tax money into for-profit education.
  10. I always thought it was the conservatives that were for small government and against needless laws. Guess I should have been voting Democrat all along.
  11. I honestly think the vitriol stems from the word critical and people not knowing the difference between "critical thinking" and being "critical of". In their minds CRT is anything that makes them (in this case, white people) feel judged. I don't think this ignorance is always intentional, but the pandering to it most certainly is.
  12. Sadly, she would lose. She'd probably lose if it went to SCOTUS, and they would use it as the case to overturn Roe v Wade.
  13. Question for the lawyers... If the lady had died, could her husband have brought a wrongful death suit against the state? The Texas law denied her a Constitutionally protected procedure and she died as a result. Shouldn't that open the up to damages? I know I'm not the first to bring this up, but I don't know that I've ever heard an answer.
  14. How does one go from reporting suspicious material to the FBI to handing over the laptop to private citizen Rudy Giuliani? That's the part that gets me. I could understand opening something on a laptop, finding something illegal and then turning it over to authorities. But how does the mind think, "You know who will actually solve this? Rudy Giuliani." This dickhead should lose his business.
  15. Why would teachers' cost of living need to be taken into account? Their husbands pay for everything, their income is for nice purses and make-up.
  16. You gonna take me away from all this?
  17. #teamundershirt here. Otherwise middle-aged men look like some chubby wannabee gigalo.
  18. I know it's beside the point, but what does it say about how much McDonald's pays its employees when it can pay 62,000 people to not work and seemingly not blink an eye?
  19. It's as much a thing as voter fraud.
  20. You're both wrong. The worst fascists are the people telling actors from the 1980s they don't want to watch them act anymore.
  21. Yeah, George Takai is the tone deaf millionaire causing all the problems. Which Aunt Karen forwarded this one to you?
  22. So we should be snatching up Rubles, right?
  23. They do look like the barflies that Forrest Gump and Lt. Dan spent NYE with.
