  1. Railroad park is 5 minutes away and zero commitment if the little guy get cranky. Fountain Hills is about 20ish minutes away. There’s not much going on, other than the fountain, but there are some good views and the area around the fountain is very family friendly, google it and see if it’s for you. As far as breakfast goes, brunch/breakfast places are all over old town and all decent, none great IMO. Not worth the wait on the weekend but if it’s a weekday it’s worth the convenience. On a weekend I’d go west on Indian school and check out the patio at Little O’s Arcadia. Maybe a 10 minute drive but the patio is great, food and doughnuts are good, Arcadia MILF people watching is spectacular. Also has a full bar and some TVs if an early game is on.
  2. Railroad park on the SE corner of Scottsdale Rd and Indian Bend can kill a couple of hours. You can drive out to Fountain Hills and walk around the lake. They have a splash pad and a few playgrounds by the fountain. If you go to Fountain Hills grab lunch at DJs Bagel Cafe. I can’t recommend that place enough. Tell me where you’re staying and we can throw some breakfast recs at you.
  3. Not including what they spent on the recruiting class
  4. Guessing Baker is next. They could probably net a 2026 7th rounder from the Broncos.
  5. Rocket on pace for 6 td passes
  6. This good advice. I’m not a huge LGO fan even though I enjoy the food. The entire LGO experience is chaotic from trying to find a parking space and everything else that follows. Also, they don’t serve pizza before 4 pm. El Chorro is a good spot and is close to the CB Inn. Elements is great but if you decide not to eat there, take the wife to the Sanctuary at sunset and have cocktails at Jade Bar. The Mission is solid. Chelsea’s Kitchen is a great lunch spot without the LGO chaos. O.H.S.O. is good for drinking but I find the food to be average. They opened a sister location next door called Little O’s. Awesome patio for an easy breakfast with cocktails. The food offering is more limited than OHSO, but it tastes better IMO. Cafe Monarch is tits and so is their new place Reserve. You’re looking at $300 a head minimum though at both. Worth it if you don’t mind spending the coin. Sushi Roku is very solid as well. I think the sushi is great, and while not cheap, it’ll run you about half of what you’d spend at Nobu down the street. Toca Medara is overpriced but if you find yourself by the mall on the weekend, it’s worth popping in for a drink to people watch. Beckett’s Table in Arcadia is another I’ll add for a decent dinner option. Great food at a normal price point.
  7. Where are you playing golf? It’s overseed time so that might dictate things a bit if you’re planning on last minute tee times.
  8. Elements is best rec yet. Some have me shaking my head. What kind of food do you like? What kind of scene are you looking for? Are you an old? Is wife cool with you guys bringing a hot 24 yo back to CB Inn? These questions will influence my recommendations. I’ve lived here for 20 years, so I have a pretty good idea on things. Don’t go to Grimaldis. It’s fine but you don’t seek out middle of the road pizza when on vacation.
  9. Ok, don’t tell your surgeon you did that. Politely tell him you feel long on the operative side and ask him to see if there is a discrepancy. They can use boney landmarks and a straightedge and show you in clinic. With a half way decent digital pacs system, they can measure it and give you a precise measurement. I obviously haven’t seen your pre op or post op films, but I’d guess you were a little short preoperatively. Common in an arthritic hip. I’d also guess they left you slightly long, 2-4mm, in order to make you stable. The result of going from a little short to a little long can leave you feeling more than a little long. Your body will adjust if that’s the case. Now if you are 3/4” long, almost 2 cm, ask your surgeon why he left you that long. Maybe there is a good reason. I doubt you are that long though…but would be interested in hearing the explanation if you are. Your spine or back issues can also play a part if you have issues there. Please report back and if you have your films I’d love to look at them. You can have them burn you a copy if you aren’t satisfied with what you hear at your follow up. Hope the recovery is going well other than the stated issues.
  10. Don’t forget the canned green beans.
  11. If you haven’t had your follow up, how do you know that you are 3/4” long? Did your PT tell you that? Your surgeon or the PA can measure radiographically to get an accurate number. It is not uncommon to lengthen a leg during a primary THA, however the amount you stated seems long to me. Stability is much more important than leg length. If you are that long your surgeon can prescribe a shoe lift and if you eventually need to have your other hip replaced, it can be evened out in that surgery. Wait to have the x rays confirm your leg length discrepancy though. Physical therapist love to say shit that is way outside their lane. Good luck.
  12. Getting a strong Hope Solo vibe from this
  13. Finger banged her when I was a senior in HS and she was playing soccer at UNF. Wish it was a better story.
  14. Ate at Jamie Oliver’s place in Sydney. Braised rabbit ravioli with some sort of cream sauce was the special. It slammed. I enjoy making fresh pasta and would totally try to replicate if I had easy access to rabbit. You should go that route. Post pics whatever you do. Godspeed.
  15. I got married in Napa on 8/23/14. 4 hours after the reception ended a 6.0 hit. Fucked shit up. We were 2 miles from the epicenter. Divorced 5 years later, never ignore signs from mother nature. That’s all I got.
  16. You’ve obviously never been to cafe risqué. Awful. I mean I can’t even put into words how bad that titter is. It’s on par with the rest of Gainesville that is not campus. Also, I consider Virginia to be way more the south than Florida. UVA>UF
  17. ER docs don’t perform surgery. At least not in this country. I agree with the rest of your IV takes though.

    NFL Week 2

Played with his old man and held him in our weight room when he was maybe 3 weeks old. Feeling old now. Senior was a baller, no doubt Jr has a nice career ahead.
  19. Do you have your headshot on your business card? Never understood that.
  20. So the going rate for an elevator blowie is 5 beers?
