  1. agree with the op, Cuban cigars do live up to the hype. not many things do. Cubans are the absolute best cigars made. I don't agree with you about Kentucky bourbon, but do agree with you about this. get them whenever you travel overseas. I had a scuba diving friend that brought them back every time he went to the Caribbean, so was well stocked in them for a decade or more. I lost that connection but always have a couple in my humidor.
  2. it should be his race to lose. he has the youth, the height, the energy, the ideas, the principles, the looks to be a great leader and our next president. i'm baffled as to why he's not running stronger. it is a little concerning and makes me wonder if he shouldn't have run against cornyn instead. i'm hoping he rises to the top. I do not agree however on the issue of impeachment and am with Pelosi on this one. that needs to be downplayed and ignored as a nonissue. we are on the verge of converting some repubs, its happening daily I believe. they are realizing he's a liar, trampling on the constitution, has no rule of law, and is endangering all our lives and our livelihoods. why impeach when if we do our jobs right he will be out of office in a year and a half? impeachment talk will reduce the flow of gop voters that are on the fence on whether this guy is a good president or not in their eyes. they might not like him as a president but that doesn't mean they want to see him criminalized. what we should be talking about instead is what good congress can do, productive acts, not destructive acts like impeachment. we should and will spend our time on immigration reform, healthcare reform, infrastructure, repairing our relationships with the rest of the world, etc. talk about hopefulness, not negativity.
  3. those prices make me wish I stuck to beer 10 years ago.
  4. I bought my first bottle of four roses small batch select tonight. quite impressed. it's no Blanton's, but probably worth the $53. I also picked up a bottle of 8 buck. cost me about the same price and they seem to be ndp. not sure what to make of it yet, but tasting it side by side with the four roses, my first impression is that it's $25 overpriced.
  5. I don't know man. i'm a big weller 12 fan, but the other wellers seem like comparing buffalo trace to blantons. weller 12 is the recipe, and the all others are fillers.
  6. is lisabellas open in cinnamon shores? that was the best meal I ever had in port a, back when she was off alister. don't know anything about black marlin but will have to check it out.
  7. cappy's? holy shit, that place has been there forever. he had a few other restaurants in the industry if i'm not mistaken. my wife and I would go for drinks there but never ate. I always liked the place.
  8. I haven't cracked mine open yet, but I have higher expectations of it than owa. owa is pretty run of the mill, and like bozo said we pay for rare bourbon, not for good bourbon.
  9. nice pickup. dallas definitely has better allocation rights than Houston or dallas. cant find that shit or old ezra 7 anywhere and you have it out the ass.
  10. yeah, she's easily influenced. how she could feel any inclination to marry a man that she knows better than anyone is a charlatan and a fake is beyond me. I get the social stigma with lesbianism, and the fear of that, but why not choose neither? it's like she feels there are only two choices in front of her.
  11. i'm kind of enjoying this show. anybody else? there are parts that are cringe-inducing, and she's a strange heroine - times you root for her, and times you don't, but all in all it's got enough interesting storylines to keep me hooked.
  12. biga bliss silo little rhein gwendolyn cured southerleigh mixtli
  13. this show peaked out and nosedived faster than the 2019 longhorn baseball team. what a shitty season this was. 4.3 all around.
  14. i dont like the way they do this now. 5 players left and it's the last episode of the season? Makes no sense. Plus, presumably at least one person is coming back from extinction, so that makes 6 players still vying for the win. are there 11 players on extinction island? there should be. if so, that technically makes 16 players still vying for the win. it's ridiculous to make this finale week. also, wasn't last week the deadline to play an idol? did lauren have to eat hers?
  15. i get it dude, you have built walls around your reality and convinced yourself trump has made america great again, better than it was two years ago. i disagree, and we will have to let the voters decide. if i had to wager now i'd say trump has a 45% chance of being re-elected, and that's 40 points higher than it should be, but there are loyalists like you that refuse to see the trampling on democracy, the desecration of the constitution, the abuse of power, the lying and dishonesty, the hoodwinking of society, and so on and so on. but i get it, you're going to stand by your man, like lindsey and mcconnell and mccarthy, scalise, jordan, and all the other loyalists.
  16. i'm not sure what to make of this show anymore. kind of wish it was in its last season like veep and got. it feels like the writers are mailing it in. both dollar bill and wags are caricatures of their former selves. can't really figure out what chuck's motivation or long game is any more. a common theme in this show is alliances and loyalties and how fickle they are. chuck and connerty partners, now not so much. axe and taylor partners, now not so much. chuck and wendy? chuck and axe? wendy and axe? wendy and taylor? maybe the moral is that everyone is selfish and out for themselves and will step on anyone to get where they want to go. axe and jock are the true villains in the show so my dream scenario for how this all concludes is for everyone to join sides - wendy, chuck, taylor, connerty, kate, etc to take those two down.
  17. do not for one second think that we will just sit around and watch you drive others to the voting booths, because we don't tolerate that around here.
  18. sure, a lot of this is just opinion and everyone believing what you want to believe. however, you can look at the facts and see that most college educated people voted democrat, and most uneducated, redneck, trailer trash people voted republican. there was some opinion mixed in with the facts in that last sentence.
  19. i wouldnt say that but smarter than the deplorables that make up the trump base. have you looked behind him at one of his pep rallies lately? i think he picks up day laborers and pays them to stand behind him.
  20. no education also almost guarantees people locked in a cycle of voting for trump.
  21. damn, still have not seen it in austin.
  22. i have never wanted to go to portugal before but you're doing a good job of selling it penelope. where will you go next?
  23. saw several wednesday night in round rock - 20-30 maybe. have not seen any in years so was an uplifting sight.
