  1. Was Marion’s bar part of the off-track betting in the Himalayas story Fletch was talking about?
  2. Kramer’s appreciation for Bette Midler’s work is hilarious.
  3. George had an aunt that was bosom-y.. She had a great body, bud!
  4. Marion is introduced by drinking a Sherpa under the table on top of a mountain in Nepal, followed by a 10 minute bar fight. So good.
  5. I’ll tell you who’s an attractive man, George Will.
  6. I’ve never really thought about this before, but birds don’t have teeth.
  7. I thought the first 20 minutes of Crystal Skull were pretty cool. I was impressed how they shifted the villain aesthetic from Nazis to Cold War Soviets…. Then it became ridiculous and sucked. We got a glimpse of the future of Indiana Jones in the prologue to Last Crusade and it was River Phoenix. He would have been a fantastic continuation for the franchise.
  8. Spirit Lake nearby still has thousands of dead trees floating around all these years later.
  9. I’m going to build my own theme park with blackjack and hookers! In fact, forget the park.
  10. I often remind myself that the last guy on an NBA bench probably has his HS gym named after him.
  11. The exact article that came to mind as I read this news. Brilliant writer. He’ll be missed.
  12. I’m probably old and out of touch, but I had to Google the guests he’s had in Miami so far. Yesterday’s interview was boring. Listened for about five minutes before bailing.
  13. While the authorities clearly screwed the pooch badly, it’s worth noting that the entirety of the criticism in that article comes from the dude that lost the election to the dude currently in charge. I stayed at that Inn one night for a good friend’s wedding. Beautiful place and perfect weather in June. csb/
  14. Another vote for the Two Escobars. I’ll also add the Hillsborough doc to the list.
  15. I wonder what the James Cameron version of Tombstone looks like. Michael Biehn, Bill Paxton, and Stephen Lange were all Cameron staples. Something dystopian like Terminator meets Wild West?
  16. I haven’t seen it in years, but Killing Zoe had my attention and was burned into my mind for a long time. Paris bank robbery gone bad. Very bad.
  17. Mad and (to a lesser extent) Cracked were long drive staples growing up as a kid. I’ll echo above about it having a profound impact on my sense of humor. RIP
