  1. if true, this is the best post in the history of surly
  2. I agree. It's almost like he learned something through his 50+ years in politics.
  3. Jesus what a fucking sad sack train wreck that guy is. The ultimate cooler.
  4. Yeah, I saw that after I posted. Dammit. And then from 2020 -- I guess it was accurate and hilarious then? IDK. I am done with it. I hope Kamala actually climbs that ladder and shatters that ceiling in real life anyway.
  5. It's not his real name. It's a diversion tactic to absolve and distance him from any paper trails. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH!!
  6. Also, it makes no sense. She hasn't won yet. If she wins, then hell yeah that glass ceiling is broken. If not, she's just a candidate and Hillary already did that. So why does it say "fairly?" No CR comments there -- just saying the cartoon really is dumb. Plus it looks nothing like Kamala, so....yeah. Great job.
  7. Biden declined the nomination in a perfectly legal way. The VP has stepped up to take over, as is the defined role of the VP. Supporters of the party donated $70M the day the change was announced, and 40,000 of them joined a zoom call to celebrate, so clearly the party supporters are on board -- not just the "most powerful" among them. And as a reminder, all Americans get to vote in November. Contrast this with the actual coup that was attempted on January 6, after pressure from the president to find votes to retain power, that attempted to kill the VP and stop the democratic process.
  8. That's not how psychopathic narcissists work.
  9. Also Kamala should not back down from being called a bitch, or power hungry, or whatever anti-female bullshit they are going to spew at her. Don't get defensive, don't correct it, don't (rightly) point out the double standard. Own it. "You wanted a bitch? You sure? I tried to be civil but you aren't ready for it. So, okay, the bitch is here now. I am her. Bring it on."
  10. He saw the end of the pandemic. He turned the economy around. Yes, inflation -- but curbed, and lower than other equivalent nations, and far ahead of them economically. He oversaw gun legislation. He appointed the first black woman to the SCOTUS. He oversaw the largest infrastructure bill in US history. He oversaw medicare prescription cost cuts. He oversaw student debt relief. He restored us in NATO and our standing in the world. Oh yeah, and he saved us from fascism. AND he stepped down to put country ahead of ego.
  11. Can confirm. Visited a random, out of way cocktail bar in Kyoto and found this waiting for us: Movie Kyoto Bees Knees cocktail.mov
  12. Agree with every single point you made in that post. Every single one. LFG indeed!
  13. you might want to read the news from a few hours ago, there have been some minor changes with the Biden campaign
  14. I don't think it's the incumbent bump. I think it's the "thank God we have a politician with energy and charisma that will kick major ass" bump.
  15. Tangent, but reminds me of the joke: A felon, a racist, and president walk into a bar. The bartender says, 'Hi Donald.'
  16. She's not wrong though
  17. Kindly do not cloud the issue with facts
  18. People who are clutching their pearls about our NIL and our recent recruiting losses to Oregon,LSU, etc conveniently forget that our NIL got Banks from Oregon, Ewers from Ohio State, Mack from FSU, Williams from LSU, Wingo from Missouri, and Niblack/Mitchell/Bond from Bama. Among many many others. Our NIL kicks ass thanks in large part to some posters on here. We don’t win them all, and we never will. But we are always in the running if we are interested. Enjoy being the 1% for once.
  19. You should. They have an amazing set of material. Their run from Paul's Boutique through Hello Nasty is particularly strong.
