  1. Sorry that sucked, sometimes you just have to celebrate. If I was you, I’d be ordering a savage from Conan’s, and a couple rolls of toilet paper. I just did that myself and I haven’t even lost power.
  2. Thanks for the answer. I occasionally drive a tractor with a front end loader, and even with the big wheels on back, it gets a little dicey if you don’t balance out the weight on it.
  3. Do you have to put any weight in back when plowing? Seems like the back wheels would be a little light with all that weight up front.
  4. Ten Bears is wise man. I was so happy I managed to solve the untangling the chain puzzle, I paid no attention after that.
  5. Turkey (yes I spelled it that way, thanks) is a septic field between Europe and a shithole (or vice versa if you may) I don’t envy them at all, I wish they could just pick up and move.
  6. Yep, a Ryobi reciprocating saw and a 9” blade will do wonders if you don’t have a chainsaw handy.
  7. Not until we have our dressying and cranberriye. Go get your Burma shave.
  8. That was the hope, but hope in one hand and…
  9. Fun fact, the dad of my best childhood friend ran a laundromat/storage unit. My friend cleaned the laundromat in exchange for getting to keep any change or contraband he found. The coolest part of the deal was the laundromat had a Space Invaders game when it first came out. I don’t think I ever paid for a game personally. Also you don’t want to know what some people leave in their pockets.
  10. Ok was just clarifying. So yeah bar and chain use 30w, unless it’s really cold, then you can use thinner stuff.
  11. South Austin’s mom calls that a rabbit.
  12. Wait, I thought you were talking about bar and chain oil. If you’re talking about 2 stroke oil then NO, don’t use 10w-30. That said Home Depot had premixed 50-1 yesterday, but the chainsaw aisle was full of slack-jawed yokels milling in circles.
  13. It’s generally normal 10w 30. You can go buy a quart at autozone.
  14. Can’t make a rice sandwich, but hopefully he still makes it out alive.
  15. She is basically fitlump on a national scale. This timeline is truly terrifying.
  16. So you’re the guy who fucks up my porn searches with autocorrect.
  17. The one employee I supervise was at his 2nd house in Bangor Maine yesterday, wind chill was 50 below. He went outside to shovel snow and his phone battery went dead in about 15 minutes while it was in his pocket. Fuck that.
  18. Made it out to my place in Hays Co. Not as bad as I expected, was able to clear the road by hand and chainsaw. No damage to any structures, and more importantly even though the power has been out for 24 hours, I rescued the 15lbs or so of sausage from the freezer. It was 42 in the house so none of it had started to thaw. PEC probably won’t have power on out there for another 24 hours at least. Those dudes are working their asses off.
  19. Of course he enjoys it, every time a tree branch falls, his brain goes Kaching$!
  20. Haven’t used one for this application but it puts out 45k BTUs the heat from which flows upward, and attaches to a propane tank so you can move it. Given that it wasn’t much below freezing and low wind, it probably would have melted a lot of the buildup on the first day. Maybe not. Definitely better than the old smudge pots we used when I was a kid.
  21. It can be done. https://www.woodlanddirect.com/how-to-convert-your-wood-burning-fireplace-to-gas-logs.html
