  1. First, 5* QBs don't often follow the Ewers route. Graduate early, sit out of meaningful football for a full year. Ewers only action came against OSUs top defense as scout team. where bad habits (especially his) are reinforced more than they are corrected. Second, those 5* don't exist. None of 2022 5* QBs (Klubnick, Weigman, Simpson, Allar) have seen significant PT. 2021s(Huard, Vandagriff, McCord) are much of the same, only Caleb Williams and McCarthy have been the exception, both benefited from easing in to actual game PT their first year and more experience in the players around them. 2020s, neither Bryce Young or Stroud played their first year and both benefited from better players around them when they stepping in to the role. Then, there is the mess that is DJ Uigalelei. 2019s Spencer Rattler and Bo Nix lulz.
  2. Absolutely, RPM. I don't think his issue is mental, so much as footwork. I think he has really bad habits with his footwork and it will take more offseason time to iron it out.
  3. Neither would be anywhere near our ranking if they played our schedule. The benefits of being a non-power 5 is you get to look good in the lower top 25 rankings with poor SoS. When they fuck up and get too high in the rankings, they get bopped on the nose.
  4. For much of this batch of GOP: you either voted for Trump or you are the enemy and worth trying to block your vote. They just aren't that strategic.
  5. Trump absolutely wants DeSantis to lose but he is ready to cuck him.
  6. I believe in 2020 that tendency flipped to Biden by about +4% over Trump.
  7. Having said all that, our pff ratings are all significant improvements from last year, and best since 2014?: 2nd in the Big 12, overall defense (21st in the nation) 1st in the Big 12, run defense (12th in the nation) 4th in the Big 12, tackling (41st in the nation) 1st in the Big 12, pass rush (9th in the nation) 3rd in the Big 12, coverage (56th in the nation) 3rd in the Big 12, scoring defense (28th in the nation) Horrible at turnovers and getting off the field on 3rd down. 7th in the Big 12, 3rd down defense (90th in the nation) 10th in the Big 12, turnovers forced (111th in the nation)
  8. Shame he didn't get any development last year, sitting behind Brock for no good fucking reason. Ford is also tied for the team lead in INTs. No safety in sight on the INT leaderboard.
  9. We support the troops! * only when they agree with our opinion and vote the way we want
  10. As you all have pointed out, we got to the QB (32 pressures and 4 sacks) is a good night. As Sark eluded to after Tech, there remains a disconnect in coverage between the safeties and linebackers/DEs. They were targeted 20 times for 17 completions and 209 yards, 2 TDs. This has been the case all year. It comes as a surprise in some cases, assumed O would be adept in pass coverage. In other cases, it is not a surprise because we knew our safeties were slow and a weakness (Cook out didn't help).
  11. I believe the 2018 or 2019 NCAA rule change requires the ref to flag that play for 15 yards, as an illegal blind side block.
  12. It's almost like the Longhorn program has to go through a complete rebuild after a decade of incompetence and mismanagement.
  13. If Saban's dumbass doesn't go for two, that's a potential game winner
  14. Phantom face mask call there..
  15. #70 just bear hug and tackles our defensive end..no call
  16. Sark, the offensive genius, doesn't give Ewers a way to check out of a run against a 9 man box? Maybe Ewers missed it
  17. Someday Murphy will get a call.. probably forces 5 holding calls a game, never called of course
  18. Man, cajun and a beer at a basketball game would be fantastic.
  19. Another game, another defense that looks absolutely lost. Kansas ignores his responsibility and allows the an to get outside. Ford just let's deuce go like he is somebody else's responsibility
  20. If you ever wanted to know what shrunken head guy looks like in a football helmet, just look at Haynes King.
  21. odd these reports predominantly come from Republican led states
