  1. I'm having this exact issue with my family right now. We go to the beach for a week every summer - my parents, sister's family and my family - and have been doing this almost every year going back to when we were little kids ourselves. We stay in the same beach house and I look forward to it every year and love it, my kids love it too, especially since their cousins are older than them and they idolize them. My sister lives north of Dallas and her 16 year old daughter now works at a Chick-fi- A, and her husband is a Project Manager for a construction company and has been working/going to his office through this whole ordeal. We live in East Texas and live down the street from my in-laws who are 67 and 73 but in pretty good health. I told my mom last week that I didn't think we were going to go down if my sister and her family were going to be there as well. I barely had the words out of my mouth and my mom starts in on me with a lecture about how we're going to have to leave the house eventually and what are you going to do in the fall when the kids go back to school, etc. and I snapped. I wasn't cussing, but it was very obvious that I was pissed off about her second guessing my decision and lecturing me. She took offense to my reaction and didn't understand why my mom couldn't comment on my decision (not at all what it felt like to me). I can see both sides of this coin and did not say anything about my perception of the risk of my parents being exposed to my niece. Pops is 67 years old, 30 lbs. overweight, has emphysema, and still hits the lung darts. The chances are if he gets CV19 that it's not going to be a mild case. I'm more concerned about my family exposing my in-laws than I am the exposure to us. If she doesn't agree with my decision, I get it, but I don't get lecturing someone for their decision in this current situation. Especially when they are erring on the side of caution. I wouldn't have any issue about going to the beach and hanging out with everyone, but spending a week in the same house with someone who works at a Chick-fil-A is too big of a risk for me. Now we are in a stand off to see who is going to reach out first and I hate it. I'll bite the bullet and check in at some point in the next few days, but this shit sucks.
  2. What the fuck is the deal with the huge updates? I looked this morning and there is a 31 GB update. I live out in the sticks and have pretty shitty internet and an update that big will take me days to get done.
  3. That seems like a pretty big ask, don't be so unreasonable Bullneck.
  4. I guess I was unaware there was a % of assets qualifier for insider trading charges. She must have a ninja ass broker if he saw the Covid fallout coming and knew to go long on Citrix.
  5. Plunder is still my favorite warzone mode. You can flip the whole game around at the end if you are behind and catch someone trying to deposit some cash. We've been playing the small map modes quite a bit too, with Shipment 24/7 and whatever the new one is called. It's a great way to level up weapons, not so great for the K/D ratio, if you're in to that sort of thing.
  6. Did Loeffler contact her broker and tell him to sell? I think her story on this has already "evolved" somewhat.
  7. Now will we ever see the last report from the SSCI that was supposed to "Focus on the counterintelligence aspects of the government’s Russia investigation, including allegations that Trump campaign officials coordinated with Russian operatives"? https://www.politico.com/news/2020/04/21/senate-intel-report-confirms-russia-aimed-to-help-trump-in-2016-198171 I agree their insider trading is heinous and should be prosecuted, but I'm hoping this doesn't alter the timing or contents of this final report.
  8. If I already have outdoor speakers and an amp that I don't really need to replace but I want to add a Sonos speaker in the kitchen, can I buy the Sonos Port and a Five and be able to control them all through the Sonos App?
  9. Did the FBI treat Flynn badly in particular or were their behaviors toward Flynn more SOP for them? From what I've read, yes, they may have treated him harshly, but it was not anything different than what the FBI does in 95% of the same situations. He's a POS who sold out his country, he can EABOD and DIAF for all I care.
  10. Thank you for posting this. Unfortunately I have some family members that are being swept up in all of this BS and I can't figure out what to do about it. It's such a tough thing to deal with due to this very dynamic you mention - they completely shut out any information that is not from one of the kooks like Judy Mikovits. It's f'n hard on me man, I wish I was better equipped to combat this. I'd completely ignore it if I didn't think it could put my parents in harms way.
  11. The gaslighting on Flynn is really quite amazing. Wasn't he fired by Trump? What for? He's a POS on a number of different things. On the take from Turkey/lying about it and cozy with Russia while also lying about that. This isn't that hard unless you are a Qtard. The judge who has been able to read a lot more about the details of Flynn's actions was certainly troubled by what he saw, but I'm sure he's a deep state bad guy. Do you put on a helmet before you leave the house Joe?
  12. Yea, you can quibble with people's reaction to reopening being irrational or not, but the polling is very clear from what I've seen - there is not a "huge percentage" of people in favor of fully opening everything. In my mind that means we are facing a long, slow recovery and not the V shape that the stock market is reflecting currently.
  13. Are you guys familiar with the Ranger Equity Bear ETF - HDGE? I don't fully understand the 3X leveraged bear funds, but I do know that you can't hold them long term without being eaten up. This fund seems like a way to short the market while avoiding that decay. It's run by Brad Lamensdorf and David Tice. I don't know anything about them, but came across this on a podcast - their strategy makes sense to me, but it may just be reinforcing my bias against this current market rally. Podcast Transcript:
  14. Yea, I don't know if I agree with Doc Beeper that the money will be smarter the next time around - give me one more good boom, I promise I won't squander it this time. It may not be exactly like a Ponzi, but the whole thing sure seems to fall apart if there isn't some other optimistic sap to unload everything on after a few years... I'm not sure if it will be as easy for those who access the foundation/pension capital directly or not, but the teams I work with that have taken that route instead of PE have actually been pretty conservative and I think are going to be able to weather this storm. The bad news and hard conversations keep piling up for me - the London market is hardening at a terrible time, collateral demands from surety bond underwriters, the D&O market for both private and public E&P companies is doling out 100-200% rate increases, etc. etc.
  15. Damn, that Ranger is a good buy at that price.
  16. That's a good addition. I don't know what kind of cheating they are doing, but when cross-platform playing is enabled I see a lot of sketchy shit going on. Players who aim zips over immediately to a head shot, players who seem to know exactly where I am even though I'm running Ghost and Cold Blooded, etc. It doesn't seem nearly as bad in modes that allow for playing only with other Xbox players.
  17. He gets so fired up during his rant that he has to unzip his jacket a bit to let out some steam.
  18. This. I appreciate his service, but it's hard to take him seriously when he makes the patch a cornerstone of his entire persona. Maybe there is a legit reason why a glass eye is not an option?
  19. I don't think it's rational to expect everyone else to curtail their production while we continue to run wide open. I think KSA is awful and wish we didn't have to trade with them at all, but it's not realistic. If we want to put KSA in the corner then we need to retool our refining capacity. The current supply chain seems incredibly inefficient.
  20. Ehhh, there are plenty of options to get a quick-twitch type game if that is what you like. They did a good job of setting up the filters so you can have more control of what type of match you prefer to play. It seems like they have game types that trend towards a BF style game play and the faster deathmatch style. I do agree that the maps are not set up to funnel as well as MW2 - and I f'n hate getting shot in the back when people spawn behind me. I just wish they would quit messing with the game types as much - they took away Dropzone the other day and that was another one that I really enjoyed.
  21. Ehhh, don't want to say for fear of doxxing them.
  22. For sure. It seems to me that giving individuals money directly could have provided relief to businesses trying to keep paying their employees for not working as well tho.
  23. Absolutely this. Give the money directly to everyone in the country and true it up/means test it on the follow year's tax returns. Too much waste going to middle men and too much of a delay in getting $$$ in the hands of people who desperately need it yesterday.
