  1. Hurt or just lazy? Either way that was bad.
  2. Playoff teams need a coach on staff whose only job is to tell the manager not to bring in a lefty to face Alvarez in the playoffs.
  3. 16 point performance difference before accounting for road versus home. Advantage aggy.
  4. Did Milroe almost screw that up by not throwing it high enough? Jesus he's the least aware QB I've seen.
  5. Call timeout with 7 seconds. Snap the ball, throw or punt it as high as you can into the end zone.
  6. Alabama trying desperately to lose. A&M still can't win.

    Outcoached

One of his important big runs was with Ford spying but his effort was, uh, not effective shall we say.
  8. We collapsed BECAUSE we played prevent.
  9. Seemed like we played a completely different defense to just let them walk down to the 20. Every DB 12 yards off and bailing. We asked for it.
  10. Same error. You talk about missing after the first ending the game. What exactly do you think missing after the second does? Would you rather know you need more points with 4 minutes left or 4 seconds left?
  11. Right here is where you make the logical error Beau Vine talked about. You are comparing missing the 2 pt if you try it first with making it if you save it. Saying that kicking the field goal makes it a one score game is assuming you succeed later. Kicking that field goal does not make it a one score game if the 2 pt conversion is unsuccessful. Exact same logical error. Similar error. Assuming the 2 pt is always missed if tried first.
  12. You're obviously correct, but I'm a glutton for punishment. @TXSooner518 also knows well how this argument goes.
  13. Pittman made the correct decision here, however it's one of the few correct decisions that's still not well understood by most fans. There were down by 18 before the TD. They scored to make it 12. If they're going to score another TD and kick a field goal to tie they will need a 2 point conversion. Either now or after the second theoretical touchdown. By going for it on the first touchdown they turn an unknown (will the 2 point conversion be successful) into a known. Imagine that they kick the 1 point here, then get the ball back and drive down the field before facing fourth down at A&M's 20 yard line with 2 minutes left. They would kick a field goal to go down by 8. Then recover an onside kick and score the TD with almost no time remaining and lose on the failed 2 point conversion. All that work for nothing. By going for two on the first one they know they have to go for it on that hypothetical fourth down. They have given themselves the information that they need two more touchdowns and that a field goal does no good. This is the same situation as when people don't understand why going for two after the first touchdown is the right thing to do if you were trailing by 15. In that situation you learn whether you need one or two more possessions. It's critical information that smart coaches learn as soon as possible. Choosing to kick after the first one is done because of the instinct to delay losing as long as possible. But if you're playing to win, you go for two first.
  14. No, the seat quantities are even. The tunnel is why there's a small patch of crimson shitheads in the Texas end zone seats.
  15. Greatest name in sports history.
  16. I should clarify that the online system says generally it only includes people who attended since 1977, but Donald Wasek is 65 years old so he would have had to have graduated in 1980 or later if he had. Meaning he would be in the system if he did according to the disclaimer.
  17. Mitchell Wasek attended UT for one year (2014-15) but did not graduate. Donald Wasek did not attend UT according to the online verification site.
  18. Jesus, man. I really hope you're not this dense. The Republican Party has veered hard right. The people you're referring to haven't moved anywhere. The parties moved. I only voted for Democrats in local elections until the last few. My views haven't changed. I still believe in actual conservative ideals (small government) but I'm actually logically consistent in that. Small government also means stay the fuck out of my bedroom and how I rear my children. Also, and this is the key part that the troglodytic Republican base doesn't get, that means stay the fuck out of other people's bedrooms and parenting, too. And since the Republican Party has never actually been fiscally responsible and it's only gotten worse, there is now no reason not to vote for Democrats. At least they work to protect social liberties. Also, to be clear I very rarely voted for Republicans in federal elections either, but now any sane person who actually believes in liberty as more than a bumper sticker has to vote directly against them. I always saw through the bullshit they spewed about fiscal responsibility.
  19. I'm inclined to believe the general point is correct but that poll does nothing to prove it. Citing a poll of the single most important issue doesn't address how many people care about an issue. Unless you think only 1% of Americans care about abortion or national security.
  20. Brent Venables schedules work meetings from 11:30-1 and doesn't provide food.
  21. Where do you get that anyone worked with Democrats? McCarthy is a lying piece of shit, why would Democrats vote any other way?
