  1. I believe that one is known as the TX/49-OU thread.
  2. Uh, holy shit. By virtue of attending and voting in the meeting OSU and WSU would be in danger of courts finding that they believed at the time that the meeting was valid. You can't say "oh hey this isn't an official meeting" when your official representatives attend, minutes are taken, and you participate in votes during the meeting. You probably need to reconsider who isn't showing themselves to be smart. Yeah, what this guy said.
  3. Yes, the next one was Ike in the Holiday Bowl in 2000 4:05 mark If you want to feel old, consider that it's now been longer since Ike's return than it was between Jones and Ike's returns.
  4. He's gone from someone who the fans couldn't wait to see leave to a guy who should get an absolutely huge ovation on Senior Day. Sticking it out that long and putting in the work to take advantage of the opportunity presented when a good staff came in is obviously commendable and should be greatly appreciated.
  5. That's a good point. I think restricted means with a hand on the ground, but the quick jerky movement rule still applies. Not to mention it was clearly intended to simulate the snap. Even if he knew it was illegal ahead of time it was well worth the risk there. If it works we win. If caught we punt and 95%+ win.
  6. It should have been called a false start if noticed by a ref. Rule 7-2-3 says it's a false start if "3. A restricted lineman mov(es) their hands(s) or mak(es) any quick movement." Subrule 4 also says any quick jerky movement is a false start. It was sneaky but ultimately illegal.
  7. I used to worry about this when pointing out that Billy Liucci is the embodiment of every reason they'll never be a championship program. That their entire fanbase is at fault because they'd rather pay that assclown a bunch of money to tell them how special and unique they are than to pay money to someone who will actually hold the program accountable. But then I realized that I was worried about Texas A&M listening to and implementing advice received from Longhorns. Hahaha. No, we're free to continue pointing out how obvious their institutional problems are and they'll never do jack shit about it. Hell, the only ones who are open-minded enough to understand end up posting on Longhorn boards. The leading figure on the A&M internet is a guy who has been telling them leading up to every season, without fail, for over two decades that: Their players are more talented than Texas's players. Their players are more skilled than Texas's players. Their coaches are better gameday coaches than Texas's coaches. Their coaches are better recruiters than Texas's coaches. Their recruits are better prospects than Texas's recruits. For over two decades he has said every single year that everything about their program is better than Texas, and yet they've accomplished jack shit compared to Texas. Not just during our great run in the 2000s, but they haven't even accomplished more than us since they joined the SEC. They won a Cotton Bowl. They beat Alabama. That's it. They haven't even accomplished more than Texas has during one of the dark eras of our program. But if you point out that he's been selling them a load of bullshit you're hated for being a 2%er then banned. Common sense says Liucci is either lying to them on purpose to make money off of them or he's the worst fucking football analyst of all time. Either way why in the hell are you giving him your money? But they don't want to hear that because it might mean they're not as special as their moms told them they are. So he will continue to rake it in.
  8. Great work by the video team. But we can now confirm that Hill was not throwing the Horns down back at them. He was telling them we own Tuscaloosa now, pointing down and probably yelling at them "this is our house now" or something similar.
  9. Please remove your 1 key. Or your shift key. Or both.
  10. Well that and crossing a coach off the list because of his buyout almost certainly happens multiple times every year. He hasn't heard about it because, you know, they weren't hired. It's like that dipshit expects an athletic director to come out and mention the guys they didn't hire because of financial issues at the hired coach's introductory press conference.
  11. No, still fuck SMU you strange SMU loving Anglophile. You're not sneaking your backdoor SMU love past us.
  12. More people watching TV in prime time. Rating is a percentage of viewers
  13. You posted this because it's so fucking dumb you had to share, right? And your laughing Facebook reaction was a misclick, right?
  14. Oh bullshit. They should have gone into a meeting where they'd be outvoted 10-2 on everything by 10 people who don't even have the right to vote? GTFO with that BS.
  15. "Film doesn't lie" says the guy who's gone from Texas to Nebraska to Florida Atlantic.
  16. They should vote 2-0 that all liabilities are paid in the next 6 months by all active members equally then vote 2-0 that all assets pass to remaining members as of September 1, 2024.
  17. As usual early in these situations my official position is that I have no fucking idea. However, these two human beings both had good sources of income that aligned with their life histories and skill sets. One of them did something so idiotic it's hard to fathom and put tens of millions of dollars at risk, and that's even if what he says is true. The other one is claiming something that would only serve to reinforce her position and role. So even if you first assume Tucker is telling the truth and analyze what he did and then assume Tracy is telling the truth and analyze what she did, Tucker still looks like a complete fucking moron. So that's not good for credibility. Another thing is that his statement starts with standard boilerplate bullshit. "(D)evoid of any fairness for any matter of this importance" is straight lawyer gobbledygook. It's throwing a bunch of words and prepositional phrases out there to sound official. On the other hand some of the accusations don't really pass the smell test and he does make specific defenses and allegations in his statement. But my point is that anyone who straight up believes Mel Tucker about everything right now is out on a limb, imo. At best this is a 50/50 situation where outside observers really have no clue what the truth is.
  18. Now that the trolling appears to be done, it's true that it sounded like one jackass. But that jackass 1. Felt comfortable enough to do it and has therefore probably done it before and 2. Got no pushback from anyone in that video, and the video was plenty long enough for someone to say something If evidence comes out that he was made to leave the game then kudos to Alabama, their fans, and their stadium staff. But for now the video really does say something about them more generally even though only one guy was yelling it.
  19. I loved Worthy's effort all night on Saturday. I am thankful he hauled in the long touchdown. I think the first drop on the goal line was something we can believe at this point was an aberration. But we need to identify who does what. The play here (and his Georgia career) shows that the ball Ewers threw that got to Worthy's hand in the end zone over the CB and just before the safety got there has a MUCH higher probability of being caught by the good guys if it's thrown to Mitchell.
  20. So for Rice/Houston and USC/UCLA (and any other examples) does the school closest to the county geographical center get the home county?
  21. lulz "You can't do that or else we'll really hurt you!" right after you already just took away any chance for program relevance. I get why USC and UCLA (and then the others) did what they did. That's fine. Business decision purely in self-interest. You don't get to now be babies when those left behind exercise the same right. I don't think they will, but they absolutely should.
  22. Exactly. What happened is that punters and gunners got a shitload better than they were 30 years ago. If you let the ball bounce at the 8 on a short-ish punt your offense is going to start inside the 5 the vast majority of the time these days.
  23. Definitive proof that any idiot can start a youtube channel.
  24. He got his blXto posters mixed up. bluto had a hell of a delayed double post.
