  1. Unfortunately there are also always more kneelers than standers and superheroes aren't real.
  2. Yep, as I said I knew this was coming. Too late for me, I won't be resubscribing or knowingly giving them any money at all moving forward. But they'll get the vast majority of people back.
  3. Yes it's still cheating and still dirty. The rulebook specifically states that it is every coach's responsibility to know the rules and coach their team with integrity. In fact it says gaining an advantage by circumvention or disregard for the rules brands a coach as unfit to be associated with football. That's in the rules governing the sport, so I'd say that answers your question.
  4. I would like to point out that this loss was so bad that Mack Brown never lost to Bob Stoops by that many points.
  5. I agree with some of what you say here but it's wild to me that you are still clinging to your belief (hope?) that our legal, justice, and governmental systems can help us fix this as all of them are utterly failing all around you every day.
  6. It's polls. The drop below A&M is a delay from the previous week where they beat Notre Dame and we looked like shit against UTEP. The OU jump is because Auburn was ranked.
  7. The Stroh thing is so weird. I mean if I were a conspiracy theory nut I would wonder either what dirt the Strohs have on Flood or exactly how well Flood knows their family. He's that bad.
  8. Are you referring to the poll where 14% of respondents said someone else should be the starter? The same as the percentage of people who believe Bigfoot is real? That's some fantastic evidence for your argument that it was a widespread belief you have there.
  9. So the real question is whether Owens or Lacey gets the next series. I assume Lacey but the 9.95 info has been garbage this year.
  10. Caldwell is a great backup QB for this team. That was an excellent portal pickup.
  11. The best part of the half was actually that his first pass to a wide open Moore (the one Moore had to go to the ground to catch with no defender within 8 yards) was absolutely terrible but he didn't spiral into a shitty performance, he went back to work, got his feet right more often, and started making some better throws.
  12. Sorry just saw this
  13. Well yeah, for two of them Arnold would have been your QB instead of the opponent's.
  14. Arnold didn't throw a single pass to a receiver after their last first down. It was a lot funnier knowing how bad he is when he played for Oklahoma.
  15. This is pretty much it. I'm currently looking at options elsewhere in the States but my family exists because an ancestor crossed the Atlantic to an unknown world to flee a shitty government. Might be time to do the same soon.
  16. Good job, news media, nobody could have seen this coming. Other than non-morons, I mean.
  17. Like I said, I don't expect others to follow suit. Most people love their bread and circuses. But I personally am not going to send money to support the public face of an entity controlled by and capitulating to this stuff any longer.
  18. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-09-18/disney-executives-to-meet-with-kimmel-assess-talk-show-s-future https://nypost.com/2025/09/19/media/disney-bosses-want-jimmy-kimmel-to-de-escalate-before-putting-show-back-on-air/
  19. But that's exactly why he can say "stop commenting on political shit and never again go on a political show."
  20. Yeah I have zero expectation I'll see a dime from SS and I've thought that way for a long time. I'm not sure I can leave the country due to a child's medical situation. But for the first time I'm exploring options.
  21. Oh immamac is still getting my treefiddy for the site itself but yeah, it's regrettable overall. Collateral damage will happen (well not really, it would take a lot more and a lot more important people than just me to make a dent, again this is for my conscience).
  22. UT in general has already started well down the path of appeasing the authoritarian right. Plus, of course, it's a state institution so it's unavoidable in many respects.
  23. So Disney is talking to Kimmel to try to get him back on the air. I assume they are telling him exactly how cowardly they are and how nice they want him to be. If they come to an agreement I'm certainly not restarting my subscription but I'm sure many will. I'm using this as an opportunity to trim costs from my life by eliminating money sent to corporate beasts in as many places as possible. Unfortunately I've also had to include contributions to any entity associated with capitulating to this authoritarian regime, which means I've canceled my Burnt Ends and Texas One Fund recurring payments as well as deciding no further contributions to UT academics will happen either. So far with just media and recurring UT-related cancellations I'm at about $3500 per year saved. Imagine getting paid to have a clearer conscience, that's a win-win.
