  1. I personally wouldn’t have any issue with this. Could this even be done? Would Orlando stay?
  2. Why can’t Hager play MB. He has a nose for the ball. Likes to crack heads.
  3. Beyond Poona. Defensive line tends to get pushed around. I would prefer a 4-2-5 then his 3-3–5 whatever it is or some 4-3 with a strong safety playing LB. Edit. I guess that is a 4-2... anyway. I dislike three down lineman.
  4. My 13 year old kid has read Steinbeck. Maybe he should coach the Horns. POS Herman. He never elevates his players only himself.
  5. While I agree Charlie had to go. He didn’t help himself when he purged the roster. He could coached those upper class players up and reestablished the depth chart where we did t have to play so many freshman.
  6. I’ve heard this before. “Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.”
  7. Switzer would tear recruiting up... that and assistant coaches wives.
  8. Barry Switzer Coach Eric Taylor of East Dillon High Jimmy J
  9. This right here. What’s the pitch? Come to Texas and maybe... maybe you’ll play over lesser players. Oh well. The sun will come up tomorrow.
  10. That’s going to make our sell to Noah Cane interesting.
  11. This is the real elephant in the room. We have got to recruit consistently at a top 5 or top 10 to get the players we need. This shit show today doesn’t help. Imagine going in to Zachary Evan’s living room and selling this steaming pile of shit as your product. Come here and get your 5 carries a game while we play favorites with lesser players. My two cents.
  12. I dread Tuesday at work. The farmers there will swing by my office all day with their smug sheep fucking grins and I’ll have to take it bc they will be right. POS Herman and the rest of the overpaid staff will make my life miserable all season if they don’t fix this. I know in the grand scheme of things it’s not that important but it trickles down to so many things. Stupid I know.
  13. We have larger problems in my opinion. Who could we get to coach if we dumped Mensa? And number two - recruiting is everything. That snake oil salesman in CS is going to be a problem if we can’t right this ship. I’m at a loss as to why we can’t get a quarterback to play for the flagship school of Texas. My patience is run out.
  14. He’s the best fullback playing quarterback in college. I’m done with him.
  15. Lat and Cajun know me. I’m a year ahead of them.
  16. This is exactly what I'm referring to - It's the loss of the towel snapping jocks with good but not great grades in HS - you know .... the ones who give extensively to the University for their entire lives.
  17. No - in reality we paid to have access to some top notch trim. Have you seen the GDI population on campus?
  18. It's just a function of numbers more than what you've indicated. Take my fraternity when I was there - Mostly guys from West Texas (Midland) with a smattering of HP, Memorial and Westlake. Not the richest / not the poorest - very middle class for the most part and not lilly white. Those schools with a history of putting guys into fraternities are sending their kids to Mississippi, OU, Arkansas, Alabama and not UT. Just an opinion.
  19. Top 10%, 9%, 8% or whatever it is today has killed the greek community. The primary big high schools like HP, Westlake, Memorial, Alamo Heights just don't send their kids to UT like they use to. I don't know how the fraternities are surviving really. We had 120 actives when I was at UT and almost every other fraternity had the same. I would guess 30% of the UT student population was greek in the 80's - I doubt it's 10% now.
  20. How do you like my old house....and I'm an idiot - the ATO's have our old house.
