  1. The needs the George Costanza ice cream eating gif
  2. Little urban achiever
  3. Dammit, keep that shit at Fenway. Looks looks and sounds like ass at DKR. Al has taken this in at Fenway on the Green Monster, in Box seats and behind home plate, DKR stadium (God rest his soul) is not my place for Sweet Caroline.
  4. A 14 year old in 1988 would.
  5. Aloha Beaches
  6. Maybe that Burger King. Younger Al made Whoppers to die for at the Ben White location back before and while old Austin was dying. Old Austin died when they renamed 24th street. I’m sure the ex-mayor with the changing last names had something to do with it.
  7. Al loved her in Millers Crossing. Al wishes he was Tom Reagan before she left him for Leo.
  8. Post Limón Doritos bag
  9. I think his career was over when Mr. Kotter smoked him in a footrace. Al remembers that vividly as a child. Couldn’t wait till Sunday(think it was Sunday) when Baa Baa Black Sheep came on, those were some good tv days back on the family 12” black and white. RIP Mr. Conrad.
  10. What does your replay dude look like? Asking for a friend.
  11. Yes, yes, they did, 3 points.
  12. Is he there to save the train?
  13. Selling laundry products. Commercial totally creeps Al out. WNB.
  14. No kidding about this guy. I rewatched the Big Short a week before the Gentleman and I got a little confused by this character. Odd indeed, good observation.
  15. There are a few different dialects in this film. Older Al missed a few lines. Subtitles would have helped. LSATSB and Snatch were better when I was able to have subtitles.
  16. Come on, I’ve got to get back to the drug store tomorrow.
  17. Al would disagree about the cilantro.
  18. FIFY
  19. Surprised that both of the Dads as the story developed were actually not great guys but both selfish. That is the way I saw it. Shocked at the violence. Was not expecting it.
  20. Saw it today and it was great. I would watch it again with recent releases like Uncut Gems and 1917. So many questions and observations made in this thread makes the film more intriguing. Catching the pre-movie Birth Movies Death at Alamo gave a little insight to the director for me as I had not seen any of his films. Go in with an open mind and prepare to be shocked/surprised and not disappointed. side note: the ‘wealthy’ Mom was hot as balls. And her hot Mom friends that were invited over for the party.....oh myyyyy. Makes Al want to relocate South of the 38th parallel. Al like watching the LPGA for a reason.
  21. Can’t sleep and Edward Scissorhands is on AMC. Dianne Weist and Kathy Baker can totally get it, as do most, not all, of the Moms in the movie. Winona Ryder (Closer to Al’s age) certainly has it going on as well. As strange of a story as it is, its held up well for being 30 years old.
  22. Millers Crossing is totally underestimated. Great story, one of the best Coen brothers efforts. Irish Al thinks he could have been Tom Reagan in a past life.
