  1. He was 4 when she was born. Probably... I think... maybe... probably didn't happen with her.
  2. Well damn, Central Park doesn't have a cricket field or ample parking. OSP > Central Park. Plus, on a clear day you can squint and see Dell.
  3. What nostalgia. I was there this weekend... and last weekend. Zilker and the surrounding area kicks ass on so many levels. I don't have any issues unless you mean the feeling I get on my first dive into BSP #shrinkage. Yeah, I go to OSP occasionally too for soccer tournaments. The soccer fields are nice, especially for the kids when they play on 130 degree turf in August. But otherwise, its a big park in the middle of a suburb. I will agree with @jimmyjazz its hard to beat the views of Taco Bell or CVS when coming in on 79. Reminds me of Old Austin.
  4. Sandy Creek still flowing nicely. Water making its way down the Llano and Pedernales slowly rising at Hammett's Crossing.
  5. Round Rock is like Dallas Jr. Only thing y'all have over Austin is tornadoes and some overrated donut place. Do y'all even have a Chili's?
  6. Drop-in on Thursday at the Long Center Barton Springs Pool Friday evening swim Mountain biking in South Austin on Saturday Lake time on Sunday ...love it!
  7. Take it to the Dallas thread, loser
  8. Assumptions...
  9. Like WTF were they thinking?
  10. I always assumed the dude was wearing the pants and had his hand behind his back. I'm going to go with that because the real story is too creepy. But the worst is the Blind Faith album... you know which one. No, I'm not posting it.
  11. Just before we moved here, we came to town in July 2019 and spent a weekend farting around at Gus Fruh... just floating around and using the rope swing. Need some of that back.
  12. Man, y'all can sell a road trip. Yeah, its going to suck. My fault. I kind of suggested it. Well, I suggested New Mexico again but my wife was like, "I need the beach" and Texas ain't going to do it. So. Yeah, there we are? Why not the panhandle? Family and such.
  13. Going to the Little Mermaid statue is like going to the SRV statue. I mean, its fine and all but, you know. Its fine. Love SRV... don't @ me I remember enjoying going out to Kronoberg Castle - easy train ride. Here's a weird suggestion - https://www.warpigs.dk/ - met a friend who was living in Copenhagen. Just go enjoy it for what it is without the real Texas lens.
  14. Only when attending class at their new medical school. Can't remember who they named it after...
  15. "What are the discussion topics at the post Second Baptist Church Bible study lunch-get together, Alex?"
  16. I watched this kid sit in during Walker Lukens' "Last Walt" show. Young kid... maybe 18 years old. I think they had his play at the Grand Ole Opry recently. Anyway, looks like he's playing with Alejandro Escovedo at Radio East - https://dice.fm/event/q2yx8o-radioeast-presents-alejandro-escovedo-w-special-guest-pedal-steel-noah-6th-jun-radio-east-austin-tickets?pid=bbdcf093&_branch_match_id=1373313958186547068&utm_medium=partners_api&_branch_referrer=H4sIAAAAAAAAA8soKSkottLXz8nMy9ZLyUxO1UvL1U81TEk0MjExNzQ2trAvyEyxTUpKSU4zsDRWqytKTUstKsrMS49PKsovL04tsg1OTEssygQAvZtZR0gAAAA%3D https://www.instagram.com/pedalsteelnoah/?hl=en
  17. Still haven't seen this band live. Figure its one I go see by myself since their shows are usually late and my wife finds their sound a bit overwhelming. I like some of the noisy chaoticness of their songs.
  18. I don't know... UT can probably find a way to raise the money. Maybe. Hopefully. Any other projects save for the two they're approving are dead.
  19. I've done. Been a long time but done it. It will make me long for the stretch from Sweetwater to Fort Sumner, NM. (kind of)
