  1. Yeah, like I said... I see L&L and I know think that place. Still weird going to Leroy & Lewis' new location vs the Cosmic food truck. Anyway, have a Hawaiian friend who swears by L&L. Its like the Hawaiian McDonald's. 200 locations, mostly HI and the west coast.
  2. I'm assuming L&L is Leroy & Lewis 'cause the only L&L I know is the Hawaiian chain on William Cannon
  3. Working on arranging ski rental for my youngest son... I am working on getting him more used to all-mountain skis and better equipment so we can go do more off piste. Anyway, I'm always fascinated by how much cheaper it is to rent in many European resorts (found this particularly the case in the southern French Alps) vs the US. This is for 6 days... pretty sure comparable skis + booths in place where we've rented before in the US would be $300 + tax for 6 days
  4. Winter Park can be a bitch when its really cold
  5. Give it some time and a period of adjustment and I think it will be fine... https://www.kxan.com/video/how-did-the-first-weekend-of-allowing-cars-on-6th-street-go/10386117/ Change is hard. Some people really have a hard time adjusting to change.
  6. My sister-in-law used to live there. The cold there is no joke. Fraser, with an annual mean temperature of 38.0 °F (3.3 °C) (or 34.8 °F (1.6 °C) based on another station in town) is one of the coldest incorporated towns in the lower 48 states. It can and does get frost year-round, totaling 287.3 nights under 32 °F (0 °C), rivalled only by towns in northern Alaska and Bodie, California, A freeze has been recorded for every single date of the year, one of the only locations in the entire United States to hold that record.[12] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fraser,_Colorado
  7. Always a fan of watching Andre's videos...
  8. Maybe he can fill us in on the non-culty tradition they have when they win a national championship BTW, since aggy likes to use random time periods to talk about their success, this random block of time is phenomenal... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NCAA_Division_I_FBS_football_win–loss_records_in_the_2000s
  9. Seems to be based on the homicide map that keeping the ban in place in section 5 might be good. Can confirm you can drink legally on South Congress. You go to the Tiny Grocer walk-up window and get a drink.
  10. Best? No... but you should definitely go to https://www.instagram.com/einprositfinebeers/?hl=en at some point As for discounted lift tickets, gooooood luck. Your best bet is three-day packs at the mountain that outperforms them: https://store.arapahoebasin.com/s/lift-tickets/p/2024-25-multi-day-packs
  11. I bet there will be enough ice overnight to delay AISD. May get below 20 tonight. One of the holes at the Circle C disc golf course... Which reminds me, one of EvilMopac's pictures once again confirmed my suspicions he lives in Circle C
  12. Need to go put my three peak mountain snowflake tires to work since they saw zero action in Taos
  13. Funny to watch all the thirsty old dudes constantly commenting on her FB posts
  14. He does a great job of explaining everything, providing context and not hyping things up. Chikage is good, too.
  15. Friend of mine sent me a picture at 10 AM local of the info board/monitor at Winter Park. -17 degrees.
  16. Step two, you put your cock in that box
  17. Just put on KUTX and tune out reality
  18. Nah, its just snow. Honestly, snow is no big deal... especially since we warm up during the day. Ice? Yeah... ice and freezing rain is the real threat and that should not be the case this year. 2023 suuuuucked.
  19. Weather apps suck. They are terrible. Use your local forecast or NWS. Apps are often using data from private companies and some of those suck. Follow someone local. In your case, Avery Tomasco is actually very good despite being aggy. As of 2 hours ago...
  20. I see a lot of people oneline bitching about the new experience and, as best as I can tell, they were the ones that would go down and just hang out and not go in and patronize bars or clubs. \Womp womp Good.
  21. Yes, Ortisei. Santa Cristina and Selva further up the valley and less expensive but all within easy reach of each other
  22. I'm sure I can speak for Chris when I say, "you're welcome"
