If Dogs are included, then Sausage Wraps should be included. In particular, the Sausage Wrap served at Frank Erwin Center after downing 5 or 6 Bud Lights.
My now deceased Mom was affectionately known as Grandma Sandwich to our kids and their friends, because that's all that she would offer to make them for lunch when she watched them. When I was growing up, more often than not she made this on white bread with Miracle Whip. And gave the rind to our dacshunds. I would still kill for one today, but my wife does the shopping generally and refuses to buy it.
Anyone tried the Dart Bowl Enchiladas at El Dorado and, if so, are they comparable to the original?
Also, fwiw, the burgers at Big Lebowski at Highland Lanes are not close to the jalapeno cheeseburgers at Dart Bowl, so I'm betting that they're not (Big Lebowski uses sweet Hawaiian buns, which doesn't work for me).
My current go to in Austin is Casa Garcias on Wm Cannon, but mainly because my wife loves their soup. If I’m up for a drive I’ll go down to the original Texican on Manchaca. And there’s never a wait at Santa Rita. I don’t think either of these places are as good as joints in San Antonio or Houston (or El Paso or Santa Fe for Sw Amex) but they’re pretty damn good.
I had a slice at Favorite Pizza today for lunch next to Sammies. Walked back to my office down the Shoal Creek trail behind the new Whole Foods building between 6th and 5th. It was quiet. Too quiet.
Canyon Cafe. My wife remembered it. It was really good. And yeah the HEB was originally an Albertsons. HEB took it over when all the Albertsons blew out in the late 90s/early aughts. I don't think there's ever been a Kroger in Austin.
When the HEB center first opened (may have still been an Albertsons) the UFCU was a New Mexican style restaurant that was really good. Same problem that other restaurants in that area have though (e.g., Biedermans, whatever the place was before the take out Cava) in that the parking sucks and the location is hidden way in the back. We tried the new Lee's the other day and it was really good, but pretty pricey for what it is. And I didn't realize the Polvos Barton Creek was open. Their webpage still shows it as Coming Soon. We'll go there (my wife loves their shrimp veracruz). But we used to go there when it was the movie theater that was sliding down the hill into the Mopac r-o-w.
Yeah I was just making a joke about sitting in Flower Child with no shame eating a double, double while WL housewives dine on salads, quinoa and cauliflower rissoto. If you're looking for a place to eat outside just drive down to Rollingwood Park or the far west side of Zilker across from the clubhouse entrance.
I had just started driving. Had a sweet 1976 lime green Camaro with white vinyl interior (underpowered 6-cylinder though). Was living in OK at the time and a few days after the explosion had a layer of ash on my car one morning when I got up to go to school. Also, @Gatorubet, Urban Cowboy was released a month or two after the explosion. Reason I know is that it was the hit of the summer and I took my then girlfriend to see it on one of our first car dates in my sweet 1976 lime green Camaro with white vinyl interior.
SIgnage is up for the new Whataburger Digital Kitchen at Bee Cave and Walsh Tarlton. Apparently the first of its kind. The traffic clusterfuck ingressing/egressing onto Walsh Tarlton from there is going to be epic.
You've left out (or I missed) a very important fact or two. Who issued or what contains the setback line? Also, your post says the shed is over a setback line and also encroaches on the property line (does that mean over the property line?). Setback lines are typically either by zoning, platting or deed restrictions. Property lines are, of course, based on boundary lines/legal descriptions in deeds. Enforcement varies depending on what is being violated.
