They were closed for a long time during the pandemic. Glad they reopened. We alternate between it and Bombay Bistro at Brodie Oaks. The classic bone-in chicken curry is really good.

That looks damn good. And that sauce is so thicc. I’m an Okie boy and we believe in sauce (although I raised my boy [UT grad] to be anti sauce). Will have to check it out

Abbott being Abbott
According to the West Lake PD Facebook page nobody has come forward to press charges. Weird post First sentence states it happened and then they go out of their way to say nobody reported it. Maybe it happened at Cedar Creek, Barton Creek or Bridgepoint since those are outside the West Lake City Limits West Lake Hills Police August 18 at 12:28 PM · UPDATE. On August 16th, a parent at a local elementary school physically removed a mask from a teacher during a school event. However, no 911 calls were received from anyone on the scene to report this incident when it happened, possibly due to the teacher not wanting to file charges at the time. We did not receive a call to the location, no report was made, and nobody has followed up with the West Lake Hills Police Department regarding the incident. If the teacher changes their mind and reaches out to us, we will investigate.

Craps for beginners:
Have taken my son (Longhorn 2020 grad) to Vegas twice now. I'll stake him some at the tables but as he's a novice he tends to prefer the "video" crap games that have the big dice in the center of a game console that seats 5 or 6 people. Anyone know the rules on these things? Are they required to payoff a certain amount like slots? He played for a couple of hours with $100, and other than not having the table crowd seemed like a good way to learn. Edit: Last time we were there was Feb 2020 for the MLR opening weekend. Stayed at the Westgate. Would never take my wife there but a great place to take my kid. Last night session at the table ended up next to Tony DeMarco, 1950s era Welterweight Champ with a huge ring. CSB and all that.

Mass casualty building collapse in Miami
And quite a few of those condos, and their interests in the land, are mortgaged. It's a pricy beachside project, so maybe not all, but I bet over 50% of them have mortgages that will be in front of any judgment claims against the land.

Burgers
Like just about anyplace, the thing with fries is you have to eat them hot (and sometimes when dining in you need to eat them first; I'm looking at you, Pluckers). So you can't get them to go (unless you eat them in the car on the way home with the bag of burgers). Dan's (curly fries), C&A and Hill-Bert's all have great fries for dine in, imo.

Give me your places for best desserts in Austin. Wife and I are going downtown to Trulucks for our 32nd anniversary tomorrow. It’s pretty much an annual thing because it’s a restaurant that we both like a lot. But they don’t have desserts. Not going tomorrow but Chez Zee is one of my favorites.- Pizza
