  1. Champs of running out of time on the scoreboard while still being behind..? 😋
  2. It's a solid look for the patch, I wonder if all schools plan on wearing one... (since it's just a 1 year thing)...
  3. There could be a bit of rumbling out west that USC may be unhappy with current setup/ look to place Trojans & Bruins (thus, more PAC teams may llok at joining XII) Baylor is dropped/ WVU joins ACC: Well, for the B1G posters who always like to quote Flug, he & Dude have a bit of info (allegedly) on both current situations of PAC & XII: *(take it as you will)... [SPOILERS]
  4. As kings & power brokers of XII neither school has much reason to become newbies of another conference, when the chance to add schools exist for XII... *(press the word "play", after clicking on this link, for the intro to PX6)... A potential exists where XII raids PAC, (sans PACN equity sale) and UT & OU gain "king" USC along with western flagships under PX6 banner/ ESPN holds 3rd tier rights... 3rd tier networks often offer content that is much more than 1 home football game per team & handful of basketball games per year, including conference tournaments & extra features... As a matter of fact, for all the talk of why ESPN wouldn't have an interest in a PX6, in a 16 configuration for PX6 & SEC/ 15 members for ACC (~ND partial), sits well vs a 14 member B1G: SEC: [SECN/ ESPN] Alabama/* 101,722 Arkansas/* 63,224 Auburn/* 86,446 Florida/^ 86,715 Georgia/^ 92,746 Kansas State/* 51,301 Kentucky/* 56,468 LSU/^ 98,506 Mississippi State/* 58,100 Missouri/* 51,490 Oklahoma State/^ 56,790 Ole Miss/* 58,631 South Carolina/* 78,586 Tennessee/* 95,779 Texas A&M/* 98,802 Vanderbilt/* 31,341 -#1 Combined average attendance figures: 1,166,610 *(7 home games) ^(6 home games) #(school in stadium attendance that falls within or below bottom half of [50% of teams in B1G] on game day)... B1G: [BTN/ FOX] Illinois/* 39,429 -#1 Indiana/^ 43,953 -#2 Iowa/* 66,337 Maryland/^ 39,643 -#3 Michigan/^ 111,589 Michigan State/* 72,485 Minnesota/* 44,358 -#4 Nebraska/* 89,798 Northwestern/* 35,853 -#5 Ohio State/* 107,495 Penn State/* 106,707 Purdue/^ 47,884 -#6 Rutgers/* 39,749 -#7 Wisconsin/* 78,824 Combined average attendance figures: 924,101 *(7 home games) ^(6 home games) #(school in stadium attendance that falls within or below bottom half of [50% of teams in B1G] on game day)... PX6: [PX6N/ ESPN] Arizona/^ 42,632 -#1 Arizona State/* 51,380 California/^ 36,548 -#2 Colorado/^ 47,056 -#3 Iowa State/^ 57,931 Kansas/* 26,641 -#4 Oklahoma/^ 86,520 Oregon/* 55,483 Stanford/^ 47,398 -#5 TCU/^ 44,080 -#6 Texas/^ 92,778 Texas Tech/^ 55,065 UCLA/^ 56,044 USC/* 72,683 Utah/* 45,913 -#7 Washington/* 68,822 Combined average attendance figures: 886,974 *(7 home games) ^(6 home games) #(school in stadium attendance that falls within or below bottom half of [50% of teams in B1G] on game day)... ACC: [ACCN/ ESPN] Boston College/^ 35,924 -#1 Clemson/* 80,773 Duke/^ 26,797 -#2 Florida State/^ 70,943 Georgia Tech/^ 46,885 -#3 Louisville/* 46,160 -#4 Miami/! 58,682 North Carolina/* 50,071 North Carolina State/^ 56,850 ~Notre Dame/* 77,622 Pittsburgh/* 36,295 -#5 Syracuse/* 33,929 -#6 Virginia/* 39,398 -#7 Virginia Tech/^ 63,214 Wake Forest/^ 28,436 -#8 West Virginia/^ 55,946 Combined average attendance figures: 761,765 !(8 home games) *(7 home games) ^(6 home games) #(school in stadium attendance that falls within or below bottom half of [50% of teams in B1G] on game day)... ~(5/8ths partial member for football) In this situation/ ESPN would have it's hand in 3 of the 4 power conferences (FOX/ B1G may wait to 2036 to attempt to add "indy" Notre Dame & 1 ACC brand), ESPN holds 48 3rd tier rights... A question seems to already be answered is: does Kansas hold enough sway to join B1G at #15 on it's own..? if not, then why constantly talk of adding KU with OU to B1G (until "flip" for UT)... And WVU can go ACC w/o ND, a 15 member ACC plays all schools vs Irish 1x every 3 seasons, better rotations/ ND "vowed" not to return to Norman in 1960's, yet still returned, 'Neers to ACC could happen... Meanwhile, both Kansas State & Oklahoma State would gain the "A&M effect" in being placed under the SEC banner, those brands aren't much different than Missouri in athletic championships/ not much different than adds in Arkansas & South Carolina in terms of adding new footprint (that would add about 7 million new viewers for SECN cable/ satellite subscriptions)..
  5. Looks like a cross between tv shows Gangland & The 3 Stooges...
  6. Maybe Ohio State has a trademark on the word "thee", as when announcing a (former) athlete on NFL rosters during a televised game..?
  7. Well, Oklahoma & Texas can keep the status as kings & power brokers within an expanded footprint linking 2 most populous states in America: The point being, Stranger Things have happened: *(press the word "play", after clicking on this link, for the intro to the elite brands within a PX6)...
  8. I am sure what Moos meant is: "We sure like to hope in slimmest of possibilities, a successful coach at Texas in any sport moving to Nebraska helps us tap those in-state recruiting ties"...
  9. Baylor put out a tweet that it was "the only one" with a Texas Bowl win..? When did that game (between 2 schools), start it's own playoff bracket..?
  10. If you can't say it to the man's face, it shouldn't be said at all, in my opinion... KD has had a successful career, (this from a Thunder fan)...
  11. Donkey has to find a better way to attack the narrative of Elephant, while gaining the "trust" of the voter, something is needed to "slam" Trump in perception...
  12. I agree with the bolded part, when ESPN isn't actually showing live events...
  13. Well, in my case, that's why I see it as XII brands (by proxy of ESPN, potentially) looking to add the majority of PAC to XII; as ESPN offered earlier this year: The last time that occurred, 2012 (when Big East declined ESPN offer, ACC was used to place Big East brands there, same is possible in 2025... As of now, somehow B1G school Rutgers is projecting to gain full shares, not during this contract, but in next contract (full payments by 2027): I have no idea how to budget a contract that expires in 2023/ expect continued increases when we don't know if cable subs losses have hit a "ceiling" by then...
  14. And, running out of time when points are lower than the totals for the SEC opponents...
  15. I think most USC fans/ alumni/ boosters would feel more comfortable with a return of Pete Carroll to the Trojans, than the stink around Urban Meyer...
  16. A plan I could see coming to fruition as PAC gor's expire 2024/ XII gor's expire 2025; birth of PX6 (similar to SWC/ Big 8 merger): Most valuable brands (not much explanation needed, as these are the "kings" of the expanded PX6, similar to Big 8/ SWC merger: #1) Oklahoma- ESPN would prefer to keep Oklahoma in the fold from the "unknown" of losing the Sooners to a rival network as FOX... #1) Texas- ESPN already showed in 2010 that there was a concern of losing the Longhorns to the "unknown" of a 16 member PAC... #1) USC- I believe ESPN would prefer having USC under it's banner of programs offered long term, as opposed to losing to TNT/ AT&T, ect... Somewhat valued brands in large populous states (some could be interchangeable, but best if left in a "grouping" with USC & Texas: *These schools may not hold their weight by themselves for networks, but all together help "sway" UT & USC that keeps a "grouping"... #4) UCLA- A key piece needed to make a move to XII seem attractive for USC, as regional rivals would be a factor in the move... #5) California- A key piece needed to make a move to XII seem attractive for USC, as regional rivals would be a factor in the move... #6) Stanford- A key piece needed to make a move to XII seem attractive for USC, as regional rivals would be a factor in the move... #7) Texas Tech - A key piece needed to make a flip of LHN seem attractive for UT, as regional rivals would be a factor in the move... #8) TCU- A key piece needed to make a flip of LHN seem attractive for UT, as regional rivals would be a factor in the move... State flagships that add valuable brands that expand a footprint & allow for continuity between XII & PAC footprints in a merged league: #9) Washington- All of these programs would add some value to the league in expanding the footprint/ while making the league feel as one... #10) Oregon- All of these programs would add some value to the league in expanding the footprint/ while making the league feel as one... #11) Colorado- All of these programs would add some value to the league in expanding the footprint/ while making the league feel as one... #12) Arizona- All of these programs would add some value to the league in expanding the footprint/ while making the league feel as one... #13) Kansas- All of these programs would add some value to the league in expanding the footprint/ while making the league feel as one... If the plan would be for say ESPN (& and another partner as mentioned for 1st/ 2nd tier rights as FOX or Amazon) any of these schools could get the last 3 slots... ESPN would be key in repackaging both of PACN (if dissolved at end of PAC GoR's in 2024 for higher promised revenues) LHN (is "flipped" from 1 to 16 teams)... #14) Oklahoma State-A potential valued option for OU to make a move to PX6 seem attractive for OU, as regional rivals would be a factor in the move... #15) Arizona State- Having a 2nd team in a state considered in many publications as one of the fastest growing nationally wouldn't hurt a PX6 merger... #16) Utah- (or) Iowa State- Both are great options for a combined league, and I feel that depending on how "pieces" were moved, both could have a spot... I hope this helps clear up my "wacky" vision, that could keep things somewhat familiar for Oklahoma/Texas/USC long term, vs being "newbies" in another league... Texas earned $38.8 million from XII 1st/ 2nd tier, $15 million from LHN: $54 million... Oklahoma earned $38.8 million from 1st/ 2nd tier, (roughly/ at least) $8 million from SStv: $47 million... All the while, both still control the ability to potentially poach PAC brands to XII, and keep fiefdom/ most of current rivals and: #0) Texas may choose the option that least adverse to altering a revenue stream that has UT #1 in earnings/ stays "kings"... #1) Texas keeping most regional rivals/ closeness of road trips for away games while expanding to major markets out west... #2) Texas gaining elite AAU schools in many flagship states while expanding recruiting pipelines into the state of California... #3) Texas having ability to keep the game in Fair Park secure as a conference clash vs Sooners, as opposed to out-of-league... #4) Texas gaining the leverage of multiple networks bidding for rights to brands as Oklahoma/ USC under 1 banner in a PX6... #5) Texas being afforded the option to have a singular 3rd tier network until 2031, or to have a league-wide PX6N in 2025... #6) Texas not being isolated in B1G west that places Texas with 1 prime conference matchup per season (Nebraska)... #7) Texas can now play Michigan & Ohio State as often now as out-of-conference foes, as possible in a 16 team B1G setup... #8) Texas is able to still work with BTAA as a non-member of B1G, while not drastically altering the pipelines for recruiting... #9) Texas gaining security of never having to worry about B1G could look to add members to east (ACC in 2026) to league... Both earne more (in overall total athletics revenue UT #1/ OU #7) than schools in B1G not named Michigan or Ohio State, to say the least; while keeping "king" status in XII...
  17. Maybe "all clear" just means, "we hope this makes it past the Memorial weekend news dump"..? (I think so)...
  18. Norvell might be better off just seeing how far he can get at Nevada, not much pressure for 11 win seasons...
  19. This may be a screen shot of Zach & his significant other at an earlier point:
  20. I think the job will be used as a stepping stone to gain a job in NAIA or Division 3 or 2 soon enough, this was to get back in the "USA market"...
  21. Congrats, he has a very nice looking future bride...
