  1. His crusade against lawfare was obviously trolling 101. He was lobbing accusations of "lawfare" while his candidate files 60+ suits all over the country with bogus affidavits and straight up lies in order to steal an election he lost. And now we've got his side extorting law firms who dared oppose him, pulling funding from universities unless they admit more MAGA students, freezing funds to states that he is mad at, and sending his goons to arrest persons who voice opinions different than his. But yeah, he's VERY concerned when the legal system is abused.
  2. Yeah, kinda? 35,000 people crammed into a public park on a random Saturday in April, during a non-election year, to hear 2 politicians from out of the state speak about the state of the nation.
  3. AOC and Bernie drew 35k people in downtown LA over the weekend
  4. and his disdain for "lawfare"
  5. i think I read that she came aboard as CEO after that letter fiasco
  6. Looked up this Miles O'Neill character and this is what On 3 had to say about him. lmao. Miles O'Neill's strong arm, accuracy and measured movement in the pocket reminds us of Sam Bradford. He also reminds us some of Justin Herbert as a high school prospect, particularly as a passer.
  7. Starting to understand the wardrobe choices. He's able to keep so many snacks in that front pouch.
  8. Criminal law is all about nuance. Degrees of a crime, intent, knowledge, etc. Its why there are multiple degrees of homicide and manslaughter. Discussing these issues isn't "woke" or CR. Its literally the practice of criminal law.

  10. There's also this problem. Of our own doing:
  11. I went through the area for the first time last week. Rode my bike all the way up through Altadena. Lots of large trucks hauling away shit. But many lots look like the fire hit just last week. Still shells of vehicles in driveways, etc. Many of the lots are now for sale, per Zillow, and looks like some are just choosing to move on. Went to this place a couple of times years ago when we lived closer to Lake/Woodbury. Wasn't too impressed at the time. Perhaps we owe it a visit.
  12. I don't practice in Texas but seems to me there's an argument that can be made for manslaughter. Homicide laws actually do have quite a bit of nuance (per usual.)
  13. What happened to returning all manufacturing to the US? I thought that, and eliminating trade deficits, was the impetus for these tariffs?
  14. So, playing ball is simply them removing the tariffs and then we'll remove our tariffs and we're back where we were before this admin?
  15. What does China "playing ball with us" look like?
  16. Add "makes being transgender a crime" and he'd pull off the Regan 84 map.
  17. Ah, made the mistake of doing it at a private residence instead of the US Capitol.
  18. "Although the survey was conducted prior to Trump’s announcement of a 10-percent base tax on all goods coming into the U.S. earlier this week, the president has promised to implement sweeping tariffs since his presidential campaign. Fifty-four percent of voters, per the survey, said they are against the president’s levies on imported goods while 42 percent of survey respondents said they supported the measure."
