  1. You should see what those pinko sonsofbitches down at the WSJ Editorial Board are saying
  2. I quite drinking near 20 years ago. Usually watch what I eat but have a major sweet-tooth. Never was into candy, desert, etc., until I quit drinking. At which point I began craving the stuff. Last couple of years I'd really fallen off my exercise goals, but since my weight was only about 5-10+ from where I wanted it, I wasn't too concerned. Then went for routine doc visit and blood work. Boom, prediabetic. That lit a fire under my ass. Back to running, and lifting 2x a week. Cut down on sugar and increased my veggie, fiber, and protein intake. Most recent test showed that I was in the clear and no longer in prediabetic territory.
  3. For those of you upset with the plot development, I'll just say that I was pretty pissed as well on my first play through of the game. Ended up liking the 2nd game more than the first. Although I get that it was polarizing and not all share my opinion.
  4. Just guessing, but I think we're going to see a standalone flashback episode with Catherine O'Haras character and her husband, Eugene. Similar to the Frank and Bill episode from season 1.
  5. The OG
  6. I know it was later, but the April and Billy saga (with a Louie Anderson cameo) was must-read message board material. Trying to figure out what happened to them is how I stumbled across shaggy in its nascent days.
  7. Yeah, I get it. But I see people on this thread who are already living in neighborhoods with home prices at or near $1m, who believe that CA is an unattainable market. Just trying to pass along some info to those who might find it helpful. Which is coincidentally, also peak surly shit.
  8. Interested to know what led to this relatively late offer for a consensus top 100 national player. He's already got 5 OVs set up with legit schools. Fair to say that we're feeling less confident about a target at the same position? Just a late eval? Not criticizing, just curious.
  9. Gonna throw this out there in case anyone is interested. Although I live in LA, I have some family in the Bay Area and find myself looking at housing in the region from time to time just to see what the market is like for future reference, should we decided to move up there once the kids are out of the house. I see a lot of "well California is off the table due to housing costs," which I totally understand. And yet, I continuously see home prices in Berkeley that defy explanation. I get that Berkeley is not for everyone, but I've always enjoyed it up there. Here's just a few homes that are currently on the market. Honestly, compared to prices in Austin, Dallas, and Houston, it doesn't seem THAT expensive. Obviously the PPSF is much higher. So perhaps, coming from Texas, it does seem exorbitant to pay over $1m for something under 2000 sqft. But man, these are some solid homes with beautiful views of the bay and the city. My wife claims that its because Berkeley is a bit out of the way from the Tech hubs, so it removes those folks from the market. Not sure if there's something to that. Maybe @We’reTexas can offer an explanation? https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/1626-Le-Roy-Ave-Berkeley-CA-94709/24839512_zpid/ https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/981-Indian-Rock-Ave-Berkeley-CA-94707/24845573_zpid/ https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/851-Grizzly-Peak-Blvd-Berkeley-CA-94708/24848632_zpid/ https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/2314-Russell-St-Berkeley-CA-94705/24829827_zpid/
  10. meanwhile, MAGA guy shoots up a school and the official response is "these things happen."
  11. Agree or disagree that in your lifetime, institutionalized racism has ensured that Black families face significantly higher challenges in building generational wealth, obtaining a quality education, and escaping poverty?
  12. no spoilers, but the game also started slowly in Jackson, and pretty much followed episode 1. The 2nd game has also been described as darker and more violent than the first game, so take that for what its worth.
  13. The Jesuits did this
  14. Not getting in on this kid early is going to come back to haunt us. Just look at the determination on that face
  15. His crusade against lawfare was obviously trolling 101. He was lobbing accusations of "lawfare" while his candidate files 60+ suits all over the country with bogus affidavits and straight up lies in order to steal an election he lost. And now we've got his side extorting law firms who dared oppose him, pulling funding from universities unless they admit more MAGA students, freezing funds to states that he is mad at, and sending his goons to arrest persons who voice opinions different than his. But yeah, he's VERY concerned when the legal system is abused.
  16. Yeah, kinda? 35,000 people crammed into a public park on a random Saturday in April, during a non-election year, to hear 2 politicians from out of the state speak about the state of the nation.
  17. AOC and Bernie drew 35k people in downtown LA over the weekend
  18. and his disdain for "lawfare"
  19. i think I read that she came aboard as CEO after that letter fiasco
  20. Looked up this Miles O'Neill character and this is what On 3 had to say about him. lmao. Miles O'Neill's strong arm, accuracy and measured movement in the pocket reminds us of Sam Bradford. He also reminds us some of Justin Herbert as a high school prospect, particularly as a passer.
