  1. Fuck it I’m on the Ojo bandwagon. His last name is close enough
  2. Holy shit at that spin rate. Once the hitters adjust it’s going to be like he’s throwing batting practice.
  3. Lol fuck no. Dude is 160 pounds soaking wet.
  4. The past few years if you’re good at basketball in the coastal bend you magically end up enrolled at CC Vets. Corpus is known for baseball but they’re no slouches at hoops either. West Oso had some really good teams back in the day at the lower levels.
  5. He’s blowing up with offers this spring and is now a 4-star. Called it almost 3 years ago. But I’m just know nothing idiot helo right https://247sports.com/player/ryan-estrada-46137203/
  6. Spencer Jones went yard today, Dominguez went yard, Goldy went yard, Lombard went 2-4. EABOD @Beau Vine spring training is awesome.
  7. Honest question: what exactly do we need so much timber for? More wood to build houses for our totally exploding population? I don’t get the long game.
  8. Eh.. point taken I guess. Still, this all stemmed from wood thinking he wouldn’t be welcomed in Isla Mujeres because he’s American. Which is an absurd belief
  9. Lol at 1,000 respondents. Where they were from would make a huge difference as well. Mexico isn’t a monolith. My family down there (NL) says the views on trump mostly range from positive to agnostic.
  10. Why do they still live in Kerrville?
  11. No one there will give a shit and I have no idea what gaturbet’s friend is talking about. Trump is popular in Mexico (a little less so than the first time imo, but he’s still well liked) and they love American money. Nothing has changed.
  12. Jesus I heard somewhere Howard was close to 5k passing yard on the year. But he barely eclipsed 4k. Still, I’d take him over Ewers. He can run, much sturdier build, and takes a little better care of the ball.
  13. Probably Howard having one of the best statistical seasons in CFB history and outplaying Ewers when they faced off had something to do with it.
  14. I actually did forget it was super cold that weekend. Delete post.
  15. Dartmouth is 0-6 and got run ruled twice this weekend. Does not bode well for us.
  16. Apparently a lot of the burned out plots of land are selling for more than anyone thought they would be. Are people seriously that stupid? https://www.wsj.com/real-estate/home-selling-season-starts-after-l-a-wildfiresand-there-is-demand-ade29d97
  17. Not sure if there’s a deeper meaning to the fact that it was a charades party or if it was just a subtle wink
  18. I mean the only way the sport is watchable is when you have someone that can shoot the lights out like Clark did. Chavez seems to have a similar game. If she can develop then yeah I can see more eyeballs coming.
  19. Just an FYI if we get Aaliyah Chavez prepare to start seeing me in the WBB threads.
  20. Think I’ve settled on Mendoza & Flores as my co-favorite players. Lol at whoever was saying Mendoza couldn’t hit and had no power earlier this year.
  21. I mean they can only do re-runs of that 2007 play-in game so many times.
  22. Vegas doesn’t really do breakfast anymore. They don’t even open until noon.
  23. You’ll see a lot but they aren’t actually that active outside the checkpoints lately from my experience.
  24. Literally listen to nothing greenspoint just said. Holy shit. From an actual valley native: Nana’s is a tourist trap. Not amazing, not terrible. Better lonches can be found in Weslaco at El Compallito. But my favorite restaurant there is still Sunrise. Or Eddie’s Drive thru. I don’t eat BBQ really, no recs there. In McAllen, Republic of the Rio Grande and University Drafthouse are musts. Great variety of food. In Harlingen (my homeland), Coletti’s is one of the best Italian places in the state. No joke. Vegas Cafe is a staple there for lunch/dinner but it used to be a big breakfast stop. Now the place for breakfast there is Blanquita’s. Pepe’s is great for Mexican food too. “No good cocktail bars” L-O- fucking L. Suerte in Mcallen? La Cantina in Weslaco? Oak in Weslaco? Station 1 in Harlingen? What is wrong with you? And lastly: if you want to really catch the valley vibes, go to an Applebees, Texas Roadhouse, Chilis, etc on a friday night. They are packed to the brim, everyone gathers there to drink and unwind after the week. I am being 100% serious, the locals down there go to chains over local places by a lot. The atmospheres are always great. *botana, guero
