  1. Lol at BO&W putting me on ignore after I took him to the cleaners in this thread. Some people can’t handle being wrong. I will say after reading this thread Layne was a much better QB than I had thought. Street is still pretty overrated in my opinion.
  2. Lol at Golden over Tate (anyone remember Golden Tate?). Their talent levels aren’t even comparable. Plus Tate has a size advantage and was a 5 star
  3. I recall his freshman year he threw a pick or fumbled on crucial end of game drives at least 4 or 5 times. But he did seem to get more clutch after that season.
  4. Golden would (literally) be 4th or 5th on the depth chart at tOSU right now. That’s one of the best WR rooms in the history of the sport. There’s at least 3 future top 10 picks there right now.
  5. I don’t see anyone lighting a fire there
  6. I don’t follow basketball much. Happy to see the score last night knowing what was on the line though. Please remove me from immolation considerations going forward, thanks.
  7. What a weather shit show this will be. Is there a chance the game gets postponed?
  8. I’ve made it known tOSU will skullfuck us. Ctj can dress it up as sarcastically as he wants, but the comparisons to 2019 LSU are legit. They’re a fucking freight train right now.
  9. We got our guy. Never reached the folkhero status of Landry Gilpin but plenty of people still remember him down there. https://rgvsports.com/former-pioneer-utsa-qb-marburger-transferring-to-utrgv/
  10. I never knew how truly stupid BO&W was until this debate started. Eye-opening
  11. Did Levis have a 10/24 TD/INT ratio in college? That could be a start
  12. He is #3 in all time total offense and TDs responsible for, and is at least top 10 in multiple passing categories. But Street and Layne did hand the ball off better than him so I guess you’re right.
  13. So David Tyree is one of the best receivers in NFL history then. Got it. I’m not saying they weren’t good. They were good at what they did, which was 95% hand or toss the ball to the running backs. That’s all those teams needed them to do to be great. But that doesn’t make them the best QBs or players we’ve ever had.
  14. Go look up UT’s statistical record holder lists. Not even top 5, top 10. Look at passing yards, passing TDs, rushing yards, rushing TDs, total offense, single-season, career, game. Any of it. Let me know if you see Street or Layne’s name pop up even once on any of those lists.
  15. Do Street and Layne belong on here? Their QB responsibilities included: toss left, toss right, pitch the ball if option play. That was it. There’s no comparing them to modern QBs
  16. I can remember ordering it for the first time about a decade ago, maybe a little fewer. Was surprised at how decent it was
  17. It’s sad for him and his family that his dad died. That’s a hard loss. He is also a gigantic crybaby pussy bitch on the football field. Both things are true.
  18. Good breakdown of 4th & 13. Pass was under thrown but the guy points out that it was “thrown on time” which made it catchable for golden without being broken up. Also breaks down how smart Quinn was pre-snap
  19. Pointless change in the guise of “safety”. Another example of the devaluation of toughness/masculinity in a society that pretty clearly needs it. I’m all for changes that would improve excitement and intensity (ghost runner and golden at-bat), or that actually do increase safety (there was never anything tough about bowling over a catcher that was awaiting a throw and not even looking at you). This rule change does none of that.
  20. He belonged at A&M-Commerce. Dude straight up stole a free degree from UT. Can’t be mad at him though, not his fault he was overrated.
  21. Keep an eye out for Nathan Huerta for the Bobcats, walk-on DL that has gotten some playing time this season . Proud Harlingen Cardinal.
  22. Would you consider Yale and Army bluebloods? They dominated the sport at one point, long before anyone else did
  23. Ohio St threw it 35 times vs michigan, pretty dead on with their seasonal average. They just got beat straight up
  24. This. He did the smartest thing he could have done by far. Weird to see that play even be a point of discussion beyond being a shitty playcall
