  1. Every trip to Vegas is really this no matter how you dress it up.
  2. +1
  3. That is awesome, I remember being able to buy custom shirts there with the iron on letters. We had some creativity with that one.
  4. delayed again https://www.theverge.com/2021/9/1/22652704/top-gun-maverick-mission-impossible-7-delayed-covid-19-delta-concerns-theaters-paramount
  5. Consistency is the problem. When the fries are done right they are crispy and soft on the inside. Bust since they are all different sizes you never get a whole batch that are good.
  6. There has been a few posts in various travel threads but I don’t think we have one for Maldives yet so I think it is time we started one. I have plans to go later this month and there are a few others who have trips upcoming @Biff Tannen Travel there is a journey we are flying from AUS-DFW-DOH-MLE once you get to Male you either take a speedboat or a puddle jumper to your resort (most resorts in the Maldives are on their own island). I am going to stay at https://www.conradmaldives.com which does have a under water suite (we are not staying in that). Plans right now are mostly just to relax although I do want to do one fishing trip just to mark “Fish in Indian Ocean” off the list. Who has been? Any tips?
  7. Opps...the houses are 1:15 hours apart.
  8. We took plunge on a lake house about 10 months ago, it is a 1:15 minutes from our house door to door. This has allowed us to use it very frequently, I do wonder long term how much of that will wane with time, non-covid times, and my kids (9 and 6 now) having more and more extracurricular activities. I will say, it has become a very relaxing place for us. We can go on a moments notice and once there we feel very removed from our day to day lives.
  9. I had it in Japan as part of a shabu shabu meal
  10. sure, why not? I have eaten horse so I assume its not that different.
  11. I have a reoccurring dream they start to offer jalapeños as a topping on the spicy chicken. It must be what heaven is like.
  12. That special smell that a "6th street bar has on a Saturday morning" thats the kinda stale fragrance I imagine.
  13. I think as this storm forms that will become the major story. It should be being discussed.
  14. South Texas Flour Tortillas Ceviche and Nachos at Vermillion (Brownsville)
  15. Correct - the donation levels for those seats are set for life at the current level if you buy them this year. After this if you buy the tickets the donation amount can change from year to year to keep the same seats.
  16. Well since its official, in for $50 a month.
  17. apparently they had extra Arkansas ticket, I got another email last night that they had additional tickets.
  18. Watched it last night, I thought it was meh as well, I did think from the synopsis it was going to be much more action than it is.
  19. There are a lot of places you cannot get to by driving. I would think over 12 years you would have wanted to go to some.
  20. I am glad I am not the only one that did a double take on that one.
  21. Double double
  22. Thanks for sharing, we will be rooting for you.
  23. It may be a technical point, but in this case the phone is scanning itself. That interview is Apple trying to clear up two different things. I think the issue of privacy is super important and everyone should be informed. But it is a issue that requires us to understand exactly how the technology is working. In this case Apple has explained how it is working. If that is a lie or untruth I expect the internet community will quickly expose it as such.
  24. I don't think anyone is saying it is not a big deal. We are clarifying what is actually happening. It could be abused for sure, the title of the thread is "apple will now scan your iPhone...." and that is not accurate.
