  1. Don't do Circle C. That commute will suck. Great Hills or anything along Jollyville up to Balcones is a good starting place.
  2. in n out is where the Burger King was.
  3. Video here - http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/recap?gameId=401083081 I think they had to call the T since it was thrown as he attempted the free throw
  4. Thats great - amazing how much made it into the film much later.
  5. It is a shame you want to take a serious issue/question/problem and use it to stir up emotion, might as well just take this to cloak room.
  6. so are you upset the CEO is making 200% more or that the the low lever worker is only making 10% more? Because those are two different discussions and trying to relate them does not make a whole lot of sense.
  7. You still have not examples why there is a problem to solve. CEOs make more...so what? do you think the 50-200 people in the the US this applies to are really effecting the rest of us?
  8. got a searzall a couple weeks ago. Did SV steaks this weekend and finished them with the searzall. WOW so easy and they were perfect.
  9. Not getting the hate for Slorch on this one. Someone asked what happened around 1995 that could be related to the rise in CEO pay, he posted a link that showed a possible explanation. No one said it was completely justified. Worrying about CEO pay seems like a waste of time, it is not like if the CEO was paid less all of the sudden the company would pay everyone else more. More than likely that difference would instead be returned to the stock holders in some way instead. But since the stock holders essentially decide to the CEO pay they have voted for it by maintaining ownership of the stock.
  10. I started picking these up as well. Have the 200mm and the 170mm
  11. Subscribed - we are going on a cruise to Alaska in June leaving from Vancouver. We plane to go a few days early to check it out since i have never been. Will have two kids in tow as well.
  12. Sometimes, I am sure in a growth period companies can risk over hiring. In the story here though people were literally going to work with nothing to do, why they were laid off should not shock anyone.
  13. Yeah - I am not sure you can make broad statements about corporate America using this example. (Unless you just want this thread to be about broad generalizations). Activation likely hired many of these people anticipating future growth, with that grown not materializing or being seen in the short term they are cutting back. It had nothing to do with the current quarters profits as seen by the stock price. It is really not that hard to understand.
  14. I always assumed a millionaire was someone who made a million or more a year. I never knew it based on wealth.
  15. That one won't work for me, I need less then 40% of my current income in retirement (thankfully my wife is not a big spender). I put my stuff in Personal Capitol and like the way it runs scenarios, I don't like the way they cold call you to try and sell financial services.
  16. Because sleeping with her Is going to cost him half his money????
  17. Yeah no shit. Someone spill the beans you are all just internet posters anyway.
