  1. Why? I have that one and I think it is super easy to clean. Everyone I know that has the side drain dislikes it.
  2. It might happen this round the way he looks now - looks like he is hurt.
  3. Ha - I was going to mention the place in Brownsville.
  4. I went to a meeting today I did not love (not going to bother naming location). My plan is to go to the 7:30am one at Northland tomorrow, I am at 2222 and 360 so it is pretty close by.
  5. Thanks for the feedback - I really mean that. I hope I do not look back at this list as excuses... I assure you my first step of this plan is to not fucking drink.
  6. Joining this thread. I voluntarily took an Uber to a detox facility earlier this week, (Infinite Recovery in south Austin). My drinking pattern is not necessarily every day but I will binge for 3-4 days if allowed, last weekend with 4th of July was just that time. It did not end well. My wife has asked me to stop for my health as well as for our families and I agree I need to. I knew it was time to get help and I am determined to do so. Part of the reason I went to a facility is I wanted to also attend some group meetings. Before this never in my life had I attended a AA meeting mostly because I was scared of what they would be like. So starting on the day I checked in I went to as many meetings as possible and my eyes are open to how they can help. I left this morning and what I am trying to figure out what the best next step for me is, I have spent a couple hours reading online but figured you all would have good thoughts as well. I have ruled out residential treatment for now because 1) I don't believe it is the right 1st step 2) I have a 3 and 7 year old daughter and a wife who is sticking with me through this I cannot imagine not seeing for 30 days and 3) I need to get to work, it is what drives me and drinking and working have not mixed for me. Things I am considering 1) Starting AA meetings today, 30 in 30 days as they say (would love suggestions in NW Austin). 2) An IOP program that starts Monday (suggestions on a good one)? The main drawback here is work while I can likely get away with not traveling for 30 days, more than that is going to be quite a challenge. 3) Some form of personal counseling (most likely combined with AA meetings), as I am sure part of my drinking has to do with depression.
  7. That's some fucking bullshit. My kids had a dozen sparklers each last night and no fucks were given, oh and an off duty APD officer (friend) was here.
  8. Yeah some of you just seam to be anti-Austin for whatever reason. I live in NW Austin and do not experience long lines at HEB (when it is open) or gas stations. I have plenty of spots that are close to the same as 25 years ago and still love it here. To each their own I guess.
  9. Yep - I am starting to feel bad for everyone that jumped out of the market. Just goes to show you cannot time it.

    Gringo Tacos

    Thought of this thread
  11. no bar, but I would not feel uncomfortable at all eating alone.
  12. I use E*Trade for 11 personal accounts (combo of checking, savings, brokerage, IRAs) they are good and I don't pay any fees and get ATM charges refunded.
  13. Went to St. Lucia two years ago and stayed at Ladera, so fucking awesome and amazing views.
  14. Interested in this thread. My wife’s grandfather recently passed and left the family a lake house. The family is looking to turn into a vacation rental. Only problem is no one lives within 6 hours of it so we will need to use a management company. Still scoping out costs on this one.....
  15. Or even easier - just add a filter to the header line, and filter to just the code you want to see and look at total results.
  16. This is what I was thinking would be the easiest way to get the count of all the different codes.
  17. “Posted: Jun 13, 2019 / 01:07 PM CDT/ Updated: Jun 13, 2019 / 01:25 PM CDT” yeah things like this usually go over a week before someone posts about it.
  18. I have tried I think 4 flavors now (they have a few chicken options, two pork I think and the beef) they are all really good.
  19. I just got back from my first Alaska cruise about 10 days ago. The ship was nice, the food was average and people were the worst. But I had fun and being able to see the glaciers from the boat was pretty awesome. Overall glad we did it. I doubt I would do another North American cruise but I could see doing one on a smaller (the one we were on was about 2700 people with crew) boat in Europe or Asia.
