  1. Did they take all the imitation crab meat?
  2. Nah, it's a licensing deal. That's one of the main reasons Trump has avoided bankruptcy since AC, much of his revenue comes from licensing and other deals that don't involve any "management" by Trump or Trumpco. I am super-skeptical about a $499 phone with those specs made in USA.
  3. “Trump Mobile, its products and services are not designed, developed, manufactured, distributed or sold by The Trump Organization or any of their respective affiliates or principals,” the bottom of the website reads.
  4. One of the things this underscores to me is that a lot of people buy into this mythology that rich fucks mean anyone can make it here, especially if we undertax them and let them do unto others with impunity. But it underscores that the vast majority of people (who believe this) don't understand how privilege works and how easy it is to get much richer if you are already rich.
  5. Soooo, second time lately you've posted that link, recently. Did you bookmark it? I think most of us that witnessed it remember "besthugecocks" and "Emma" and "pegging," but the entire link? Curious if the link still works. But not curious enough to click it.
  6. Yeah, there are few federal murder statutes, most involving federal property. It's going to be state charges.
  7. Well, one way to attack that fucker, without bunker busters, is airdrop some light armor and sappers in there and get after it the old-fashioned way. The way things are going, doesn't sound like there's much to stop em.
  8. I think the most fundamental thing is that en route to age 25, women mature faster than men. Now that women are coming closer to equality than ever before, in terms of education and employment opportunities, and our society casts the die mostly before about age 25, women have just flat beat the pants off men, period. There's some other stuff dragging men down, too, but I suspect the above is the single biggest thing.
  9. Took a while for it to sink in.
  10. Yeah, again, I think this was a US Army thing long before it was Eeyore's Birthday. So I am certainly not going to fault soldiers for participating. Particularly those with a highly ceremonial role, who would be expected to participate in whatever the Army chose to do for its birthday. I suppose strictly speaking, once this became a propaganda tool, we could hope for some sort of boycott or insubordination. But the orders in that case would be a weird mixture of legitimate and illegitimate that it would be hard to ask them to disobey.
  11. The other thing is, why is Fox interviewing an obscure DIA "officer" for any reason other than her shitty alt-right views.
  12. Yeah, I kind of have to guess that this gives Trump some kind of cover for joining the op. Something like "I didn't start this and didn't want it to start, but once it happened . . . ."
  13. I agree, but it's pretty well documented that he's a big fan of show tunes and other schlocky stuff.
  14. I could have sworn that was a Billy Graham joint. But apparently not.
  15. I think the responsible party here is the Army not Trump. Remember, Trump co-opted this whole deal from the Army. More than a few people have suspected the Army of trolling him at certain points. And Fortunate Son is the kind of protest song that the Army can use as well as civilians. ETA: see the not-exactly-squared away marching above, and, if real, I think the DoD flag poster above might have been a troll from a right-minded graphic designer in the Pentagon.
  16. Sans lyrics, though. Probably a smart choice.
  17. Well, it is a bit sad for the Army that they have to pay for Trump's unpopularity. ETA: In the live link above, The Donald is administering an oath to some troops, and did the Animal House "I, state your name . . . ."
  18. And all that historical talk, for losers, dopes, and suckers.
  19. Not just American, but Dallas, Texan, and founded by the Thompson family. https://www.dallasnews.com/business/local-companies/2023/12/19/7-eleven-trailblazer-jere-thompson-sr-dies-at-91/ https://thompsoncenter.utexas.edu/ And yes, the Japanese were originally franchisees.
  20. Yeah, no. He'a a gravy SEAL at best. And yeah, I'm going with hardcore fundagelical with some Africa mission under his belt. He also has two degrees from a tiny Catholic school, although Franciscan.
  21. He thought he was the king of America Where they pour Coca Cola just like vintage wine Now, I try hard not to become hysterical But I'm not sure if I am laughing or crying I wish that I could push a button And talk in the past and not the present tense And watch this hurting feeling disappear Like it was common sense
  22. Not to mention all the "security patrol" Crown Vics and similar running around out there.
  23. Involved is one thing. The principal peace negotiator is another. The money and emotional interest is why we're not credible to Iran.
  24. Dude, you can watch the video and he says "I am Senator Padilla" well before they frogmarched him out of the room. This whole administration is one long publicity stunt. Including "immigration enforcement." And whether congressmen, or any other politicians are low-grade grifters, Trump out-grifts them all by massive margins.
  25. Not overruled. No decision at all on the merits. Rather, an "administrative stay," which means give us a sec to hear some arguments, and hearing scheduled for Tuesday.
