  1. Could not get through Mary Poppins Returns with the kids....
  2. Agreed - definitely worth watching.
  3. Ok - let’s take a case of a serial killer that is caught by a surviving witness, DNA is faultless, maybe he even confesses. Still no needle? I’m not being argumentative I’m sincerely on the fence. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  4. Hope this isn’t too cloaky. There has to be a level of “extra extra guilty”, lol. I’ve always been for the death penalty - but like many others the frequency of people getting exonerated makes it difficult to support. The reason I still support the death penalty is because there are plenty of cases where cold blooded murderers are caught and there is not 1% of doubt. I can’t imagine being the victims family and knowing that person is still on this earth. I know there are a lot of attorneys on this site but it seems that for a case to be made a capital murder case, it goes through a rigorous (extremely?) process. Maybe not as much so in Texas. Enlighten me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  5. Agreed but the doc is so one sided. Surely they are going to cover the state’s evidence at some point? The podcast was the same way. Will they discuss the teachers statement that Hae was openly afraid of Syed and asked the teacher to hide her on one occasion? Or that he wrote “I’m going to kill....” (of course that really could be anything, but these things should be mentioned). Also - I just don’t understand how Kristi is getting convinced she was in a class that evening but 10 years ago she didn’t even consider it. I feel the same way I did after the podcast - he should not be in jail, not enough evidence (that we have seen), but he probably did it. Sociopath. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  6. The Dawn Wall. Can’t recommend it enough. I know the other climbing doc has gotten most of the publicity but I think I liked this one better. What an amazing achievement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  7. I love that I’m not alone in my love for this stupid movie. Every time I go somewhere that someone is smoking weed I say “smells like Cypress Hill concert in here”. Can’t be helped. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  8. I loved Get Out - I’m a huge horror movie fan and thought it was one of the more interesting thrillers I’d seen in awhile. One of those movies that I rewatched a few times with friends that hadn’t seen it. I think consensus was that it was pretty great all around. To each his own. Everyone is looking for a huge “twist”. I’m ok with originality and a solid story that might bring something to the table that hasn’t been done to death. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  9. I kept hearing how upset people were over this documentary, like really pissed off, even after the doc aired. I couldn’t believe that could be true, so I searched “Leaving Neverland” on Twitter. Unbelievable how many idiots were defending him still and in many cases the vitriol was scary. One of the main responses I saw was something like “MJ is King, I refuse to watch that crap. #mjinnocent”. Sickening. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  10. A great clip to summarize the show! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  11. I watched Family Guy for years and loved it but Bobs Burgers >>>>>>>> everything else. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  12. Agreed. The hockey players are hilarious and consistent. I felt pretty sure they were going to be huge douchebags at first but ended up being pretty great guys. Do they have the market cornered on hot Canadian actresses? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  13. Dude. You have made a major impact on my livelihood. This is the greatest show I’ve ever seen. Every scene is quotable. I’m not sure of another show that’s even close. Every character is awesome. I’m getting a “Texas sized 10-4” shirt by the end of the week. Ninja dust! “It’s been so long since I held a pair of tits in my hands I popped a lap rocket opening up a can of tuna the other night.” That’s off-putting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  14. Damn. That’s going to get me laid tonight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  15. I’m old so they are either great or miserable depending on the weather and my level of comfort. I’m going to the Sweetwater 420 Festival in Atlanta in April. I can’t pass up Avett Bros, Jason Isbell, Rebelution at the same place. I might do Old Settler’s this year, never been. Went to one night of the Avett Brothers at Red Rocks last year and damn near had the time of my life. Going for the entire weekend this year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  16. Unbelievable. I don’t think I’ve felt like that watching a doc since Dear Zachary. As bad as the guy was (easily one of the worst human beings I’ve seen in any of these true crime shows), the Mom and Dad were equally shocking. The father was the biggest pussy...I can’t even put it in words. I get they are Mormon and this was a different time - but holy fuck. Awful. The FBI agent wanted them in jail. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  17. Watch it - it’s fantastic. It’s shocking how unbelievably naive people are, and how crazy this story is. Almost as infuriating to me as Dear Zachary (but not quite). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  18. Abducted in Plain Sight. How is this not getting more publicity? If I saw a movie with this plot I would turn it off because of how ridiculous it is. Check it out - I need someone to tell me if it was as unbelievable as I thought it was. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  19. Found this great article about 1992 - Longview, Laneville, Troup all won state that year. I played against Laneville and Troup that year. Leneville Beat is by 80-90 points lol. [https://tylerpaper.com/sports/uil-honoring-state-champs----troup-laneville-longview/article_731413f5-ea0b-506c-8f5e-5bb85e16cf44.amp.html/] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  20. Ed Jasper - 1992 Troup Tigers won it all, my buddy was the point guard. This friend of mine is the brother in law of Pat Mahomes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  21. East Texas in the early 90s. Played Laneville, Teneha, Troup, this list is long. The level of competition was insane. Playing 1A- 2A schools with 2-3 guys over 6-5 (a couple over 7’0) and could jump through the roof was crazy. With social media and the attention real talent can get these days no matter where it is - a lot of those guys would have D1 rides and some significant careers. The ability to read and write would have been a plus (in many cases). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  22. Anyone watched “You” yet? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  23. I’m sure I will catch shit for this but I am just finding out about Ja’Quinden Jackson. I saw the Duncanville - Allen highlights and was blown away at his speed. Do some research and he is a Horn commit and is getting huge buzz nationally. This kid is sick. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
