  1. Somewhere mixed in The Exorcist 3 is one of the most compelling and terrifying horror movies ever. It’s in there somewhere. They were on to something for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  2. 8 years in a row to River’s Inlet and Shearwater (Bella Bella), BC fishing for Kings and halibut. Amazing every time. Caught a 70 pound hatchery King one trip. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  3. Finished it as well and loved it. Agree it’s really rough, one episode in particular. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  4. Holy shit. Eargasm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  5. Kill List Bone Tomahawk Triangle Law Abiding Citizen Krampus Crawl Bloody Hell Sing Street The Guest The Loved Ones The Mist (ending alone) Mommy (highly rated but nobody in the states has seen it) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  6. I’m a big horror fan and I’ve had Shudder for a couple years. Hit me up if you want a list of favorites. Or my Letterboxd is wutang75. Some really quality stuff from the 70s - 80s. Just watched Butcher, Baker, Nightmare Maker with a young Bill Paxton. I thought Malignant was great for what it was and definitely thought it was intentionally horrible. That cop dialogue was hilarious. The crazy ass parking spot made me laugh as well. Drags but the last 20-30 minutes was worth it. Another good service is Kanopy. Free with library card. 7. I find Selena’s voice strangely appealing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  8. This episode might be my overall favorite. The Twilight/Muse scene was incredible. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  9. Sir Mix-A-Lot, a man ahead of his time. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  10. While we are talking about Asian action movies - hard to top Raid 1 and 2 but you should definitely check out: - The Man From Nowhere - The Night Comes For Us Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  11. Thought “Nobody” was awesome. Didn’t take itself seriously - fun as hell. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  12. I’m using the HBOMax app and when you go to the show’s main screen it says English, click on it and it changes to Italian. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  13. 3 seasons are on the HBOMax APP. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  14. How is there no thread for this? It’s been one of the most popular shows in the world for several years and from what I’ve been told it’s easily one of the best gangster TV series ever. I just started it and I’m about halfway through Season 1 and it’s held up to its reputation so far. The influences from The Sopranos and The Wire are very obvious. 15. Watched Hunter Hunter last night and it exceeded all my expectations. Ending was nuts! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  16. Gangs of London? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  17. It seems there are people that haven’t seen Starred Up. Remedy that. Big fan of Brawl In Cellblock 99. Just watched A Prayer Before Dawn last night about Billy Moore the English boxer who spent time in a Thailand prison and ended up competing in Muay Thai tournaments. It’s a difficult watch in some parts and was a little slow for the subject matter. I don’t think I can recommend it personally, but everyone else that sees it loves it so what do I know. 18. My oldest kid has me watching some of these - my first anime at age 45. - Attack on Titan - Maybe my favorite, very cool concept - The Last Airbender - The kids love this, but I’m a few episodes in and it just seems like a kids cartoon to me where these others are more adult oriented. - Tokyo Ghoul - Pretty good, enjoyed season 1. - The Promised Neverland - Depressing! Not sure I’m going to stick with it. - Parasyte - Liked this a lot. They have me set up to watch Devilman Crybaby this weekend? No idea what that is. Looks like I’ll check out Cowboy Bebop, Mob Psycho, One Punch Man. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  19. Seriously not trying to start shit here, genuinely curious. I’ve always been for legalizing weed, and before San Francisco I was for legalizing everything. But after traveling to SF for work a few times and seeing all the junkies just chillin in the street, taking dumps, messing with people, shooting up in broad daylight, etc. I dont know. Its pretty much fucking chaos. I’m curious what’s going on there, because that’s fucking terrible. Is SF doing something differently than what Oregon will be doing? Educate me or rip me to shreds for my ignorance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  20. Also - if you haven’t seen Red Dog, watch it with your kids. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  21. Making my way through Korean cinema, my 4 favorites. The Man From Nowhere - Just saw this last night and loved it. Could not recommend this more if you like action thrillers. I Saw the Devil - A lot of people prefer this to TMFN but I think I liked TMFN more. Both are great, this one is more horror and has some crazy shit to sit through. The Wailing - One of the best horror movies I’ve see, period. Train to Busan - Great action horror, recommend. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  22. Attack the Block. I had never heard of this movie a couple of weeks ago but then I started reading about it and how huge it was. Worth a watch I suppose but I was underwhelmed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  23. If you like the story and are in to horror movies definitely check out “The Innocents”. It’s definitely the best adaptation of The Turn of the Screw. There are probably 6-7 other adaptations - The Turning (terrible), The Nightcomers with Marlon Brando, and at least 4 other movies actually called “The Turn of the Screw” through the years. 25. Rec is my favorite found footage film and REC2 is just as good. You’ve got to stay away from the dubbed version. As stated above it’s not easy to find an original but I watched them both with original audio maybe 2 months ago on either Tubi or Pluto. Keep checking the “Justwatch” app periodically. I will go ahead and give an update since we saw some quality stuff over the weekend (in addition to TCM at the theater): Phenomena - I hadn’t watched an Argento film in a long time and I’ve never seen this one and damn I don’t know how I missed it. It’s a little slow and a bit all over the place but what an ending! Jennifer Connelly’s first film I think (and the chimp bit her finger off - for real). I think this is a must see just for the crazy-ass ending. (Amazon Prime) Ticks - Another “how the hell have I missed this?” movie. As far as creature features go, this instantly goes very close to the top. You think when you see Seth Green and Alfonso Ribeiro that it’s going to be just another cheesy B movie from the 90s - but it packs a major punch. The ticks are awesome, the gore is top-notch, and it has what has to be considered one of the best death scenes in horror history. (Tubi) The Mortuary Collection - This is a Shudder Exclusive and is definitely worth seeing. It’s basically an R rated Goosebumps. One of the better anthologies I’ve seen. (Shudder) Scare Me - I’ve seen some good reviews but it just didn’t work for me. (Shudder) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
