  1. You turned this off??? You missed out. We watched it twice this weekend. Hilariously bad. The worst characters, who continuously make the worst possibly decisions, and to top it off the acting is so over the top it’s cringeworthy. If I hadn’t researched and found out it otherwise, I would have thought it was supposed to be a dark comedy. I’d give it another shot. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  2. I’m not sure any other Director has the ability to make the viewer feel dread or true sorrow like Ari Astor. The one seen in Hereditary (we all know which one, and it’s not when it actually happens that hits you, its the 5 mins after) and then the beginning of Midsommar. Probably the 2 best examples of making the viewer feel sorrow I can think of. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  3. Love the A Mighty Wind Soundtrack. Anything Levy and O’Hara do together is magic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  4. Aw hell, this is where I contribute to this board. My family watches a shit load of horror. According to Letterboxd, we have watched 180 in 2 years. Can’t spend too much time on this tonight but here are a few: - If you haven’t seen Trick r’ Treat during Halloween you need to. - The Loved Ones - Just watched this again recently. Pretty gnarly. - Incident in a Ghostland is pretty decent, very cool concept. Like The Loved Ones, it’s not for the faint of heart. - Rewatch the 1988 version of The Blob. - Host was a lot of fun. We all watched it at the same time, in the same room, each on our own device with headphones. It was awesome. If you don’t know why, you will when you see it. - The Blackcoat’s Daughter is one we liked. Kinda slow, but we like that if it pays off. - The Innocents (1961) - The Wailing - There are a lot of great Korean horror movies, this may be the best. - Hereditary is probably my favorite horror movie - REC and REC 2 are my favorite found footage - Sleepaway Camp for anyone that hasn’t seen it. - Creep 1 and 2 with Mark Duplass are fun. - Top it off with some Killer Klowns from Outer Space! If you want to see a list - I’m on Letterboxd - wutang75. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  5. The Chris Watts thing was pretty good. It’s all video footage that we have all seen before, the difference is they provide timelines based on her text messages and social media posts. It’s extremely sad how the FB/internet sleuths jumped all over her when he first said she killed the girls. People couldn’t wait to blame her. He got that entire idea from the female agent (Tammy Lee I think?), who I thought was pretty great. The scene where they do the polygraph is a great scene. Chilling. No doubt he did it all for the nookie. The nookie. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  7. I should add....my daughters name is Parker. And yes I got the idea from the great Parker Posey. Edit: The GHWB story is the greatest thing I’ve ever read on the Shag. Bravo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  8. I really liked The Voices. The theme song will stick with you. Some other “Horror Comedy”: Mom and Dad - Crazy Nic Cage Mayhem - Decent, helps if you are a fan of Samara Weaving but who isnt’t? Little Monsters Happy Death Day, and the Sequel Tusk - Hate it, love it. I love it. What we do in the shadows - Genius The Final Girls - Cool idea, worth a watch Behind the Mask: Leslie Vernon - To me, this is a must see. Housebound - Cool movie from New Zealand. Krampus - Love this damn movie for the Holidays Trick r Treat - If you haven’t seen this, do it The Babysitter - More Weaving Killer Klowns - Classic 100 Bloody Acres - Worth watching if you can find it The Loved Ones - Is this Horror/Comedy? Maybe. Whatever it is, see it! It’s awesome. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  9. This is a great dating app filter. If she likes this movie, she’s probably legit. Only woman I’ve ever truly loved we watched it the first night we hung out. “You go back and you get Busy Bee!” “How many years ago did he poke me?” Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  10. People don’t like to have fire poked, poked in their noses. My ranking: 1. Best In Show 2. Waiting for Guffman 3. A Mighty Wind (But I freaking love the soundtrack, Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara are always magic together). 4. For Your Consideration Haven’t seen Spinal Tap in so long, not sure where to put that one. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  11. Just watched the “Rewind” documentary on Amazon Prime last night and holy shit that was completely devastating. Very similar to Capturing the Friedmans, so if you liked that you will probably like this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  13. Half Moon Run. Wow - a great band imo. Really like Grow Into Love (although part of it sounds a little like Shallow from A Star is Born), Monster, and Turn Your Love. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  14. I haven’t seen it but I have seen it mentioned as one of the most influential movies of all time. The movie snobs on Letterboxd (which is awesome) love it. It’s free if you have a Kanopy account. Check it out and get back to us! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  15. One of my favorites - love him and Catherine O’Hara together. Schitt’s Creek, Best in Show. Especially A Mighty Wind. I listen to that soundtrack all the time. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

  25. In my opinion it has to be in the conversation for one of the top artistic achievements- I don’t know how far back you go. I didn’t think seeing it on Disney would change my opinion that much, but I was blown away. I was chatting with a very skeptical buddy of mine watching it at the same time and I think I enjoyed his reaction even more. I hate that Miranda is having to deal with the blowback right now. On some review sites/apps I’ve seen there is a staggering amount of people that are virtue signaling - and it ranges from “he should be ashamed of himself” to demanding it be cancelled immediately and anyone that supports it is racist. I was telling my kid headed off to college that Hamilton will be a dirty word on campuses within a year or two. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
