  1. Speaking of Cronenberg’s kid - I watched Infinity Pool last night. I think I liked it better than Possessor. Mia Goth losing her shit is always worth the price of admission. Although it’s not near as over the top as a expected based on what I’d read.
  2. I’ll tell you about my media room. It’s in my ex wife’s house asshole.
  3. This. This right here.
  4. Rocky 4 is one of the greatest gifts cinema has given the world. I could listen to the soundtrack on the treadmill every day and never get tired of it. 1. Training Montage 2. War 3. Burning Heart 4. Eye of the Tiger 5. Hearts on fire 6. No Easy Way Out 7. Sweetest Victory 8. Going the Distance
  5. Mentioned this in the “Movies I just watched thread”. The Stranger on Netflix (not the series). This is Australian crime - dark, creepy, intense. Based on the true story around the “Mr Big” undercover operation to catch Daniel Morcombe’s abductor. Really enjoyed this.

    Grammys

My Facebook was full of “Satanic Sam Smith” posts this morning. Man I love having country relatives.
  8. As a young lad playing the likes of Laneville and sometimes Troup in the 90s I experienced a few 70+ beat downs. I believe Laneville would typically hit 120ish and we would hit maybe 50. We felt good about that 50. CSB.
  9. If you didn’t finish this movie, you missed out on one of the most satisfying endings in years.
  10. Wait. There are people that haven’t seen Sing Street? This was huge with my kids and their friends 4-5 years ago. Definitely see this movie if you haven’t, especially if you like 80s music. Great for all ages.
  11. I said the same thing. The second time - those rocks hit different.
  12. That guy ruined the perfect life for a chick that ain’t hot and runs a professional organizer business where her best work is what you yell at your 12 year old to do before she goes to bed.
  13. Side note - the only people that should ever use the term “natty” are women that are pretending to like sports for attention, and even they should be mocked unmercifully. Make it stop.
  14. Kelly’s Mom was hot as well. Houston’s own Melendy Britt.
  15. For some reason I have a subscription to the Paramount app. Oh yeah, so I can watch Cheers uninterrupted for 2-3 hours every night. Started from episode 1 a couple weeks ago and last night I was at the episode where Norm is the interior decorator. Loved the ending where he thinks they are going to give him a hard time and they just want a discount on furniture. So good. Lilith was killing it in Season 8. Sam isn’t a big fan of her driving.
  16. Pulling for TCU is nowhere close to pulling for Aggie. I don’t care what anyone says.
  17. This is the one Christmas movie we make a point to watch every year. We love it. Would be interesting to get your take on the end - everyone seems to have a different take.
  18. The level of suck those people went through is hard (impossible) to comprehend.
  19. A Christmas Story Christmas Vacation Elf The Grinch Krampus (this is the only one we actually plan to sit down and watch - the others just happen organically).
  20. Went to the Frisco location for the first time and tried the rotisserie chicken salad I’d heard about from folks and good lord. Wanted to stick my dick in it. Nice having access to prasek’s Summer Sausage.
  21. Can someone enlighten me on Houston being #1? I know they have a ton of talent but based on schedule I don’t see it. Irrelevant and will work itself out, but still curious.
  22. They managed to squeeze in every cliche known to man and still make it solid.
  23. Was not expecting it to be so PG-13.
