  1. I think part of the context that is important to understand for this photo is that Jack White was and remains a professional upholsterer
  2. My hot take for this thread is that every dumb criticism boomers have ever made about millennials is negated by the song “Coyote”. It fucking sucks.
  3. They made sure to tell me that she was very explicit re: her monster’s name wtf
  4. i'm surprised I don't have a better picture of chili parlor enchiladas somewhere in my archive. man that makes me hungry
  5. probably taking the generous assumption that you are being disingenuous and flagging it as trolling
  6. If it isn’t known, the Chili Parlor is low key a great Tex-Mex place. Their green cheese enchiladas are my favorite in town. They make their salsa with serranos and it clears your sinuses.
  7. https://www.denverbroncos.com/news/broncos-release-wr-lil-jordan-humphrey released
  8. Interesting - certainly I’d take your word on it but I’d heard from staff several times that it wasn’t a menu item until after the song. Maybe they’re misinformed, or maybe it just wasn’t officially listed on the menu until later.
  9. yeah almost certainly that was the case. or at least, that was probably after my then girlfriend and I's first europe trip and that was in my peak sit at the chili parlor bar during lunch and eat enchiladas while scrolling shaggy era
  10. Have overheard so many times the story about how the drink didn’t exist until after the song.
  11. I used to work right there and would get lunch at the bar a few times a week. Was great, even if it was loaded with assholes in flag lapel pins I could usually snag a seat at the bar and Brendan or Mike would slide my enchiladas and a Diet Coke in front of me in a matter of minutes, side of salsa. In and out in 15-20 minutes. No crazy stories really from being a lunch time regular. Totally independently of me, my in laws were/are regulars which was funny. Totally threw me for a loop one time at a barbecue at their house to see the long time waiter with the mustache and the rolled up pant leg (Buffalo bill, can’t remember his name right now although I should) out of context. We sold my wife’s old civic to one of the cooks. Still get bummed when I think about Jessica once in a little while (who was killed by a car while biking home from work late one night).
  12. I think the penalty for political shit in DT should be a week of all of your posts are in jokerman font.
  13. It’s really a perfect example of privilege when people of a certain type are completely coddled by everyone around them and the media they consume such that they experience it as absolute persecution when people point out not just that they are wrong but how. Your dodge stratus doesn’t entitle your opinions to deference and respect. I’m certain I have more in common with ph than I’d like to admit which is what drove me to interact with him despite the pointlessness of it. But his inability to understand why anyone might give a shit about Derka was illuminating for me. He doesn’t want to be associated with people from this site and frankly, likewise.
  14. yesterday afternoon or evening in the DT israel war thread. I think with the outbreak of open hostilities in the Middle East, his decades long blood neg feud with Penelope was too much for him to handle any longer. Also found it stifling to discussion to be consistently asked to support his positions with relevant information.
  15. Missed Prepuce's update a couple of weeks back but figure that might be the case. I've been rolling. It's helped that I've identified one of our couches as being a cause of back pain for me and have stopped using it altogether, but I also feel like maybe I've built up some strength and this has helped with nagging back pain stuff that I've had since the pandemic and that sidelined me a few times earlier in the year. Haven't missed a day since May, although i had a couple of days where I was sick or forgot and only managed 15. I've also had days where I forgot in the morning but have done 30 in one go, which sucks now but would not have been possible at the beginning of the year. Anyways, looks like I'm on track to finish..... Dec 19. So actually I need to start putting some extra sets in - we're expecting a baby around the 15th of December and I imagine that will knock me out for the remainder of the year. I don't know that I'll try and do the 10k burpees again for 2024 but I want to do some other similar thing - I've never been a big exercise guy because i don't enjoy it and I've never had enough of a reason to stick with it long enough to see some tangible results (that can't be better attributed to diet changes etc). But the "do this thing where the goal is to stay on track" works better for me, obviously. Thinking about getting some weights, maybe doing some modified x pushups and something else free weight related.
