  1. America.
  2. The lengths some people will go to to avoid having to give you another handy.
  3. This, all of this, except I like to go lower and slower, I try to hold 225 until IT of 110, and rest for 30min or more (big piece of meat, takes a longer time for core temp to peak). And don't sweat getting a perfect sear at the end, each slice doesn't get that much outer crust anyway. Or preheat your oven to broil 500F and do the final sear in the oven. Taste will be the same and it's a lot easier to monitor and no risk of giant shooting flames from all the fat dripping. For OP - some people are really sensitive to smoke taste. Are you always adding smoking wood? If so, try with no additional smoking wood. And make sure your fire is burning clean before you put the food on. Use a drip pan with water, spaced off the deflector with a few balls of foil, to keep drippings from burning on the deflectors.
  4. The Ikea Koncis garlic press has a removable grate for cleaning, and slightly larger holes than most presses. Wouldn't think it would matter so much, but the removable grate makes cleaning so much easier.
  5. Bumping this as I start doing research - planning to go in Nov.
  6. I bet his Global Entry renewal still comes back faster than @Superhero
  7. That probably only gets you onto the 2yr waiting list (instead of the 5yr waiting list).
  8. I've mailed my passport for visas a bunch of times. Wouldn't worry about it.
  9. I suggest replying with a sternly worded "Don't you know who I am?" 1% of the time, it works every time.
  10. And don't underestimate this. On a "traditional" theater movie, distrib/marketing makes up over half of the costs. That always seems insane to me. Majority of the costs of a conventional movie are not spent in MAKING the damn movie.
  11. Ming just announced their next watch, 37.07 Two 15min order windows on July29 GMT, no limited edition, but only taking orders in those two time blocks. https://www.ming.watch/products/ming-37-07
  12. I'm here for the big silicone. Oh wait, wrong forum.

  14. Why the fuck does MB require an "auxiliary" lead-acid battery in many cars? And why is it in a location much less servicable than the primary battery, despite having the same shitty lifespan? What engineering superiority causes this?

    24bit FLAC

What you are finding is definitely true. Your entire listening chain, up to and including your ears, needs to be able to resolve the finer resolution for it to have any benefit to you. If you just listen to everything on iPhone earbuds, stick to mp3 and save the disk space. Conversely, if your speakers are B&W Nautilus, never try to listen to anything less than FLAC. There is an audio nerd thread over in the Music forum if you want more visibility:
  17. You don't have to walk a stripper and pick up her poop. Unless that's what you're in to. Then you do you.
  18. Take it to a local trophy/plaque shop or one of the places that does gift stuff engraved, and pay them to put it in their engraver or laser marker. Depending how fancy you want to get with the graphic, you might want to have it designed by a pro and saved in vector art format like .ai to feed into a laser. An engraver will be more limited in fonts and designs. I'd also suggest you look at FB groups for Glowforge and Epilog (and other popular laser markers), and just search or post and ask each group if there is someone local to you with a laser, and ask if they'd be willing to mark something for you for money/beer. Most enthusiasts will gladly help you out for a little cash. Ideas for what you can do: https://www.epiloglaser.com/resources/sample-club.htm
  19. My ideal is more like 38% appreciation, but I'm already a homeowner.
  20. Pro Tip: If you drop your phone in the lake, you don't get any work calls.
  21. What didn't work out for you guys on BGE/kamado? It's certainly more involved than an Ooni and also costs quite a bit more in fuel, but it's not supposed to be "difficult." But I recommend Ooni all the time to kamado guys if they plan to do more than the occasional pizza - the speed of heatup and the savings in fuel pay for itself pretty quick if you're doing a lot of pizza.
  22. Do you still ship/carry steaks, or has the hunting situation sorted that out?
