  1. What? We definitely were NOT trying to score on the first two snaps. On third, you take he TD if it’s there.
  2. The illegal formation penalty was actually beneficial, because we got to replay the down after running off more time during the penalizes play. We had 5 men in the backfield, I think.
  3. I’ve been wondering for a month now why this defense hasn’t been floated yet. It’s probably the best option. Just some rogue actors, swamp, etc.
  4. In what proceeding, DOTUS, are you demanding that the Bidens testify?

Have you ever applied for a job and entered “none” in the “residential address” section?
  6. I’m sorry. Whom are you addressing that to? I assume that there are posters claiming that a senate conviction is likely to occur? Good luck finding any. Otherwise, what’s the point of the question? It’s like “HAHA MOTHERFUCKERS!!! YOU CANT EVEN PROVE A POINT THAT YOU ARE NOT MAKING!!!”
  7. The last series of posts on this thread have me craving a Country Burger. * In ‘92, when I was arrested (for the first time), the Plano jail had no food service facilities, so they would just bring in Country Burger for all of us.
  8. It is very common for the DA’s Civil Division to file an action for forfeiture while there is a case pending. I have seen it frequently in drug cases. Oh, the cool part...I get appointed rep an alleged felon. DA files forfeiture. The scope of my appointment doesn’t include the civil case, so they often get to just roll pro se in the litigation. Don’t forget the use of the criminal case as leverage to get an agreement to forfeit. Also fun.
  9. Just saw that trump quote from 10/2. He actually said “word for word, comma for comma, by people that do this for a living”. I think he knows they’re weren’t stenographers listening in, but just gives no shits about shading everything and lying through his teeth...and that no one will stop supporting him or care about his “just words and stuff”.
  10. Are you referring to the TCU game today? If so, I'm pretty confused.
  11. Maybe having less reads in the progression would allow him to get rid of the ball sooner. The fuck do I know, but when there was less "stuff" to think about and process, our offense looked pretty fucking good. It seemed like last season, it was two quick WR looks and then tuck and run. We moved the ball very efficiently.
  12. SO much this, and I would also add that if these steps are taken and NOTHING ELSE...just watch how the tackling magically improves. Bring back Gerg.
  13. Awesome. We have a head coach better than Strong. What kind of fucking standard is that? If that’s the bar, then there about 100 other coaches that clear that bar. Fuck out of here with that “argument”, ETA: None of what I just typed should be construed as me not thinking that TH can be the guy to achieve everything we expect.
  14. Yeah, and it’s almost like our DC is scheming/calling plays as if all of the experienced DB’s are still on the field. It’s clear that poor execution and hesitation are due to the inexperience we have Out there, but that doesn’t end the discussion of “whose fault is this?”.
  15. Why would he have been in the database?
  16. So, I'm just now working my way back into this thread. Is there literally ZERO blame being placed on Levy, other than "he sucks because he is holding on to Poch"? Levy has mismanaged this organization terrible the last few seasons. We are now reaping what he has sown...a bunch of players on their way out, etc. Having 4 of your best players in their last year of their contracts with no extension and not selling them earlier = bush league shit. It's hard to say "player X is trash" when their future is constantly in limbo. That said, 3-0 us. Maybe we are back.
  17. You are missing two DB’s expected back I think. Also, David Gbenda played the majority of reps at LB vs KU, so I would imagine he will see the field.
  18. I’ve come around on this now. I guess my only remaining question is whether it would have been better to leave it as a 38 yard FG and just call the timeout with :02 left or do what we did. I’m seriously asking because I can see reasons for either option.
  19. We know how to tackle, but we are never in the correct position/leverage to actually make a tackle. In order to “square up”, you have to be there first. This is the Diaz syndrome all over again. Make some differential EQ based scheme with fancy alignments, etc. By the time the defender calculates where he’s supposed to be, it’s too late, the angle sucks and flailing arm tackles are all that’s left. Gerg turned that shit around quickly by dumbing it down and just letting guys play football instead of a ton of thought required first. It’s not like Gerg just made them use tackling dummies for more reps every practice. We also saw the same thing with strong, which was also greatly improved once we simplified the scheme.
  20. I get that, but if you are stopped in bounds, you lose the game. It was already just a 38 yard fg. I could be wrong though. if so, it's still TH's fuck up for calling a TO so quickly. Without quoting myself in an earlier post, I should clarify something. I mentioned "3-5 glaring obvious ST miscues this season". I meant PER GAME.
  21. What’s the standard for shockingly well? I counted 3+ complete failures in ST. I guess that plus the blocked XP for a safety is supposed to impress me?
  22. I’ll answer that: The Maryland game, year 1, we fucked us the toss, but the ref asked further questions and explained some shit and bailed our player out of giving the ball away both halves. Know what that says about Herman? Fucking nothing, because HC’s don’t give special whiteboard scheming sessions to the coin toss calling player. And no, in no way am I saying that Herman is as bad or worse than Strong. Just give better examples. There are plenty.
  23. Wait. You’re contention is that we decided to run a play because we needed to eliminate the chance of a KO return for a TD? Take out the KU offense scoring on us scenario. That FG takes 4-5 seconds to be blown dead. Either KU fair catches the ensuing KO to run one Hail Mary/hook and lateral, or they try to return the KO 95+ yards to win the game. I can’t believe I’m actually explaining this.
  24. The only difference between this KU game and the one we lost is that we didn’t turn it over 6 times. Last night isn’t some evidence of improvement. Stop blaming Charlie’s recruits, seeing as how our best defensive tear was the won the the fewest TH signees. Would you like to discuss special teams and penalties? Where does that blame traditionally land. I think we have had 3-5 glaring, egregious and fundamentally flawed ST miscues this season. And fuck off with the injury excuses. Those weren’t good enough 6 years ago and they still aren’t. Our “B Team” (which this wasn’t) should never need a last second FG to come back and win against KU AT HOME. 24 points given up in the 4Q? Fuck that. Finally, you are so dismissive with the “sure he needs a better staff” comment. That’s a MAJOR FUCKING PROBLEM. Don’t make me remind you of Shawn Watson as an example of how a bad staff hire can ruin shit. * Be clear...TH has not even in the same discussion of shitty HC performance as what Strong was here. But “he’s better than Mack and Charlie” is so Fucking far from what our standard should be. Don’t be the chick who puts up with the serial cheating boyfriend, because “at least he doesn’t beat me like the last guy.”
