  1. My first venture into NYC and I can say that you nailed it from their walking speed to being more friendly than I expected. We had dinner at Junior's last night and walked across to the Schubert Theatre to see Jeff Daniels in To Kill a Mockingbird-what a wonderful memory to be taking home with us and planning the next visit.
  2. Sending positive thoughts to both of you for a quick recovery.
  3. Good looking pointer!
  4. UPDATE: Still sucks donkey balls, which is unfortunate because as mentioned upthread, at one time (80's-90), the pot roast, cfs, meatloaf, and my favorite, southwest chicken casserole (similar to King Ranch casserole) were as good as you would find anywhere.
  5. Look no further. This is the ONLY answer to your question.
  6. The Sambo's in FW I went to was on 80W and later became a topless joint called Sinbads-the sign said "an oasis of delight", which, upon further review proved false.
  7. Great story that references the B&T group yesterday at Santacon. The fight scene at the end is priceless and I can see why you avoid it like the plague as you say: https://www.thedailybeast.com/santacon-returns-to-nyc-with-drunk-frat-bros-looking-for-sex-with-an-elf?ref=home
  8. Did everyone get a barf bag as they walked into those events?
  9. We are currently staying at The Hotel in Times Square, which is the biggest misnomer in history. The Bates motel looks like the Waldorf Astoria compared to this dump. It will be AMFer as soon as we can and moving to Merrion Row.
  10. If there is a God (not his version), my prayer is that Josh Duggar is sentenced to life and becomes the boy toy of someone like Vern Schillinger or Simon Adebisi and that lube is not provided during the entire sentence.
  11. It was cash only the last time I was there-and my wallet had nothing but cards in it. The owner agreed to take a check which, along with the food and shakes, makes me return here every time I am in Granbury. Glad they are now accepting cards and if one opens in River Oaks, I will be there.
  12. HEB will be selling tickets to this-if they are open.
  13. Make it Ocean Drive from the Omni to NAS and I'll be impressed!!
  14. I'm sure this is on the endangered species list along with the whooping cranes.
  15. Same thing happens with a fresh cow pie up at the ranch-let them out, they have this fecal radar that locks on to the most recent pile and it's on like dom perignon. Some instincts just cannot be explained but this one defies any and all logic.
  16. Thanks for that heads up. We will be in NYC 11-15 staying at The Hotel in Times Square. Having never been, I am looking forward to seeing the city at Christmas, the Rockettes, and To Kill a Mockingbird with Jeff Daniels.
  17. Yeah, I hear you. But consider it's cheaper than giving half of your shit away in a divorce settlement and Fusca will love you no matter what. You did good.
  18. The .15 burger in the 60's made it easy to get filled up for under a buck.
  19. Having gone to Del Mar for two years, Boat N Net was the best place on Ayres street.
  20. Like crack, this addiction will require a treatment center with strong emphasis on the 12 steps!
  21. "illegally launching into a defenseless opponent"-Blue would have drawn a flag for personal foul with this move. On the other hand, have to admire the fact that the tackle was made for no gain.😉
  22. So Riley will be joining another Mike Leach disciple, USC offensive coordinator Graham Harrell. The Pirate must be smiling while the Pac-12 coaches that will be facing the Trojans in the next few years will be trying to "Figure Out" this scheme that generates points in bunches.
  23. I was more interested in eating a couple of Manske rolls at Gil's broiler-screw that yardbird.
