  1. Similar to Flying Fish menu wise. Catfish is pretty tasty along with the gumbo. Cheese grits disappointed.
  2. We stayed at the Wynn but I avoided playing there. Instead, played at Four Queens and echo your sentiment regarding being ruined by the dice. Had a good evening on Saturday playing the pass line and ended up leaving Sunday +$28-nothing to gloat about, but having only played craps twice, it felt pretty good to take some of their money instead of leaving some of mine. Went to El Cortez on Sunday and broke smooth ass even in an hour of play. Looking forward to December and returning to the song of the siren that is the craps tables.
  3. Just returned from Bass Hall Ft. Worth where Dwight Yoakam played a show benefitting the UNT Health Science Center. His Bakersfield country was as on point as always featuring tributes to Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, and Ferlin Husky. Always enjoyed his catalog and hearing A Thousand Miles from Nowhere still reminds me of how great country music can sound when performed by a great performer. Having seen him at Billy Bob's on a number of occasions, it was refreshing to hear that nasal twang voice echoing off the ceiling of the Bass, dubbed the Carnegie Hall of Texas by Yoakam. His backing musicians were outstanding as well and the 90 minutes with one two song encore gave all who attended their money's worth.
  4. The Harbor Club in Ft Worth is having it's annual Celebration of Sobriety gathering this weekend in Ft Worth. Great speakers, amazing food, and raffles are all a part of this annual gathering that brings groups from all over DFW together. I attend the 7am meeting here M-F and have enjoyed the past twenty years without a drink. If you are in the area, check it out. http://harborclubfw.org/
  5. Enjoy the moment. The best part of being sober is being able to remember the memorable life moments such as this one. Congratulations.
  6. Lost a brother in law to cancer in May last year. Now his widow was diagnosed in April with a tumor on her tongue that caused half of her tongue to be removed and rebuilt. Found out yesterday she has an inoperable tumor behind her right eye and it is the most aggressive form of this disease. Man, just wish that a cure for this life destroying disease could be found.
  7. Second. Excellent customer service and repairs.
  8. 502 fucking yards At least 1/10th of those by a walk on qb that made our defense look like the Texas School for the Blind. Just fucking amazing that Orlando had no one assigned to spy him in the next to last series. But those yards before that play let me know OSU was not going to lose tonight.
  9. The walk on winner
  10. From going to shop for the wife's birthday present here in Ft. Worth: FIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. One of he all time greatest scenes in western movie history. Hope Ringo comes to the good guys and produces similar results.
  13. Thoroughly enjoyed this movie since it was right in my wheelhouse (grew up in the 60's). Brought back a lot of fond memories including the X-15 model I built as a kid and watching in amazement every space launch that was televised. How this ever succeeded with the science that was available at that time is miraculous.
  14. Not that any of us have unrealistic expectations or anything. . . .
  15. Dusty after coach's message to Tyler.
  16. True this-put astronauts in space, tOSU in their place, strobe lights are eeeeeeeeeeeeeasy.
  17. Thank you football Gods for allowing this rout in West Lafayette tonight.
  18. Can it get any more exciting for Purdue fans/Tyler? tOSU is teh suck-reminds me of Patterson punting on 4th down in Austin.
  19. Purdue Boilermakers-making the bye week worthy of celebration.
  20. Take the loss Pussy!
  21. Herbie making more excuses for tOSU than Baylor for Briles. Rape inference not intended to be disrespectful.
  22. Turn out the lights.............the party's over.
  23. That is amazing. The Buffs beating Trinity is really surprising. Looked at the QB, Michael Black, and can see where his leadership and skills might be a big part of the reason they are undefeated. No joy for the Trojans this morning.
  24. This sounds like my life this past Saturday. Started with dull pain in my left kidney walking to my car from the Cotton Bowl after the OU win.Increased as we went to dinner-left halfway through as pain was 6/10 and got nauseous. Went to doc in the box where dinner was deposited in wastebasket due to 10/10 pain. Told the nurse no opioids but help me Jeebus. Phenagrin, Tramadol, and finally, a shot of morphine did the trick. 5mm stone due for urologist on Tuesday. Not the way I wanted to celebrate a win over the Sooners, but really avoided the usual opioid prescriptions that I am often prescribed.
  25. From the kitchen at home in Cowtown: TEXAAAAAAAAAAAS!!
