  1. Looks like the cross-border raid is over. I'm guessing this one didn't trigger Russia to move enough forces from Ukraine to that area, so we will probably see more of this kind of thing soon.
  2. Its going to last just long enough to cause Russia to divert forces and logistics to the area
  3. The first batch is apparently coming from the Netherlands. The US is now allowing re export by allies, but has not yet announced we are giving F16s as well
  4. Yea I concluded that it was written by the kids
  5. Your friend is correct. Most rivers you have heard of are too big to effectively walk/wade and are fished from drift boats. You are going to want to target some high country streams for the scenery and lots of willing trout, which will be on the small side generally. I know the area around lake city and telluride Colorado but there are great spots from New Mexico to Idaho. Pick an area or town and then figure out the surrounding streams. Best bet would be the ones where you have to hike a couple miles first. There are lots of good streams in rocky mountain national park which is easily accessible from Denver
  6. I think she broke the crazy scale on the hot/crazy matrix
  7. that would work, and they are also supposed to grow out of cow pies
  8. I don't think the smell of predators deters snakes. But predators like cats and dogs can kill or drive away rodents. That in turn results in fewer snakes around, since they are generally looking for food. Edit to add, this is to @Steel Shank, get your dog the snake vaccine at the vet. Its cheap and it works.
  9. Fair but I guarantee he has FSB and other intel reporting on the military (and on eachother and everyone else for that matter). I am skeptical that Putin is truly in the dark about this stuff.
  10. You don't think Shoigu is going to inform Putin about Prigozin's rants?
  11. More truth from one of his retweets: "they mobilized hundreds of thousands and threw a jaw-dropping amount of armored vehicles into a furnace for this [the miniscule Russian 2023 gains]. sheer insanity, a military gone mad"
  12. well worth a read https://www.nytimes.com/2023/05/09/opinion/putin-ukraine-war.html
  13. You know some gamesmanship is going on with the telegraphing of the counteroffensive. When it truly begins is probably a matter of semantics, because if it hasn't "started" already, there are at least lots of shaping actions happening for the "start" of the offensive. My own .02 cents is that Ukraine is going to do a version of shock and awe on some sector of the front line at some point, and that is what will go down in history as the start of the counteroffensive. IMO Ukraine will have picked say a 50 mile sector of the front line and essentially mapped out all the Russian defensive layers. When Ukraine moves, first they send a shit ton of drones, artillery, rockets to take out AD, other key positions and serve as suppressing cover, while Ukraine moves with all the shiny new armor and some air support. If done well it could panic the Russians and collapse a much larger area a la Kharkiv.
  14. cobra obviously
  15. Pretty good thread on why Russia can't increase arms production. TLDR: their arms factories are severely undermanned for several reasons, and sanctions prevents them from getting certain key components they can't make themselves like chips.
  16. MillerEP has been the main guy here doing work, wtf are you talking about? You think we'd rather read your useless comments?
  17. I'd throw Girkin in too as someone who has been critical enough you'd think would earn a free flight out of a tall window somewhere. I don't really understand the calculus, but by playing the MOD against PMC's, it might be to focus the Russian populace on those guys (as potential scapegoats later) and also to keep them rabid to continue the war.
  18. Sometimes we talk, sometimes we walkabout in the woods, sometimes we get naked, etc. Fucking incredible
  19. MDMA saved my marriage. Wife and I are opposites emotionally so when we got into conflict she would go to 11 and I would just shut down. Talk therapy helped, but our therapist strongly recommended X for us. I had never tried it, but it has been fucking incredible. You can (and want to) talk to eachother about ANYTHING, including shit that normally would result in WW3. If anyone is interested I'm happy to go into more detail.
  20. Any more bullshit about someone's support for Russia/Putin being CR and I'll probably neg. I'm right on the line. Seriously, wtf is remotely close to CR, given the context of this thread? I normally don't do call outs but that was a super sandy vag comment
  21. any link to that clip about synchronized swimming? Couldn't find anything with a google search but I don't know the name of the show/movie
  22. Western or red striped ribbon snake
  23. Try Chris Johnson at Living Waters
