  1. Kind of an up tempo Joe Walsh at 2:37.
  2. Damnit. I'm listening to Abbey Road (Remastered) on Spotify and I'm an asshole...particularly after watching "Get Back." I don't know how to express my feelings other than to say the "remasters" are the same assholes that fucked with the original Star Wars trilogy. I still have that on VHS, you bastards. 'Let it Be Naked" is still available.
  3. Awesome! Thanks. I bought the cooler and my husband is on the drill bit. Heh. I was using something similar to this, but with a more rigid lid: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GQLD5BH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It worked for experimentation and day to day foods, but big bbq items don't work in that space. I've done a small brisket and pork shoulders, but I fucked around and found out with a spatchcocked turkey at Thanksgiving. Oops. I re-heated it in the oven and it was still juicy, but I had to babysit it more than I had anticipated.
  4. I wasn’t laid off, but my former company had a large Google Hangouts layoff prior to Covid. It was tacky and heartless as hell. I started looking for a new job that day and luckily found a very good one quickly.
  5. My impression was that the re-heat was after a rest, not from cold/frozen. I agree that 15 minutes may be short under rest conditions as well. It won't hurt a damn thing for it to be in the water bath for an extended period.
  6. Those mushrooms. Man. I'm going to cook this recipe some time this week. https://www.marthastewart.com/1165276/pan-seared-mushrooms-cream-and-dill
  7. If I'm telling the whole truth, I don't really worry about how much time the brisket is in the water bath. I let it roll and don't sweat it when re-heating at 145-150. That's the advantage of re-heating that way. I open the bag and the smoke of a perfect brisket is still there. Slice and serve. Never had any bark issues at all with a good seal. Works well for holiday parties when everyone decides to get their shit together after drinking/chatting and expect hot food.
  8. FoodSaver 11" x 16' Expandable Heat-Seal Rolls for Food Preservation, Freezer Bags & Sous Vide Bags, Clear https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00851QSDO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_BJQDH02F7YZ7H3BHS0F4
  9. Agree with all of this. How big is the brisket? I can get a 12lb in a vacuum bag without cutting it.
  10. And a bunch of sides. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. You need that, dude. Why is it still available?
  12. I do not support this idea.
  13. Try defending your point. I've seen you whine on other areas of this website about CR folks, but I've also seen you fail to be specific. I'll admit that I haven't read all of your posts, but the general sense I have is that you are butt hurt about something CR related, but fail to articulate it. Please. Spell it out. For the turds.
  14. So THAT'S what you're supposed to do when the Mariachis come to your table. Get your shit together, Tom Cruise.
  15. Let's have a laugh. I miss this show.
  16. This is a fucking Texas jam with a Beatle.
  17. No idea. But, don't let me down.
  18. Nah, good topic. The "Get Back" thread is really great for any music fan that admires innovation and historical relevance.
  19. I'm 4 minutes in and done. They knew bars, rests, notes, counting in. They were always spot on. You can't get four people to play that well together without basic music theory. I'm out.
  20. My opinion prior to watching the link having watched "Get Back" at least twice and the fact that Beatles music has been part of my entire life: Paul knew theory and piano and could pick up any instrument and master it. John knew music theory and played some hand aching chords effortlessly. Ringo is an incredible drummer and his subtle grooves were just that and perfect. I was taught piano, cello, french horn, trombone (not the rusty variety), and trumpet growing up. I mastered nothing, but when I first picked up a guitar as an adult I couldn't figure it out at all. I posted on this board several times about my frustrations in trying to relate a guitar fret board to a piano keyboard. The answer I received several times is that they are completely different animals from that point of view. So, I think George undoubtedly knew complex guitar theory. It's just a mind fuck to translate to a piano keyboard. Easier to ask Billy to translate. Now, I'll watch this shit and see if my opinion changes.
  21. Well, I have no idea about that. I do know that she makes questionable decisions about men.
  22. She also did an incredible cover of Petty's "You don't know how it feels" playing all of the instruments, but it looks like it's been scrubbed. https://www.nbc.com/the-tonight-show/video/sheryl-crow-performs-you-dont-know-how-it-feels-in-tribute-to-tom-petty/4272604
  23. Gibson boner activated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCcmk4-FZwY
