  1. NA beer has always seemed to me to be like Decaf coffee - is there really any point to consuming drugs with the active drug ingredient absent? Non-Alcoholic Beer - When you don't want to get drunk, but want to pee a lot.
  2. Is there any truth to the rumor that Biff is on the short list of replacements for Elko?
  3. Fraudulent. Moon Pie in 1917 was only chocolate. I understand you want to believe, but they're lying to you.
  4. Advertising fraud. Banana Moon Pie was never even thought of, much less made, in 1917. Surly there must be lawyers ready to litigate, around here somewhere.
  5. Replacement for RG3 at ESPN?
  6. Has anyone ever seen Treaty Oak and Klubnik Pere in the same soom at the same time?
  7. I remember 59, with 34 of that being on the last, garbage-time "drive", at 7-31. I also remember that SEC had the opportunity to pair us against aggy, but chose not to, possibly at aggy request. And praise jebus for that, 'cause it seemed like it coulda been an epic ass-fucking instead of ... never mind, it was actually an epic ass-fucking anyway.
  8. I'd think Charlie Strong could be a test case for 100% live AI replacement of actual speech. The only potential problem would be if the AI was unable to create some of the takes that seemed impossible to predict in the Surly Shared Experience. Thinking of having to have the ref explain to you that declining a penalty called against your opponent was not in your best interest. "No-brainer" took on a whole new meaning with Charlie.
  9. Did they discuss his vacuum cleaner repair business? It sure looked like a cover for nefarious undertaking.
  10. A truly amazing statistic. There is a mind-bottling amount of talent required to get more hits than plate appearances. I hope Schloss is on the trail of this.
  11. Maine used to be pretty decent at baseball. EDIT: doc beat me to it. I swear I've actually watched a Maine baseball game in person... mighta been Texas but for some reason Rice is in that memory bubble. Anyway - where were we? Oh, right: 0U sucks. And it's 1515.
  12. "Great hair and a famous family" FTMFW
  13. Be fair. Errybody gonna hate it.
  14. Choir. Preaching.
  15. I'm torn between comparisons of perspicuity with Lee Corso, or just assuming ESPN (and its owner, the Mouse) are in the process of pulling off Springtime for Hitler. Definitely some entertainment to be had.
  16. IIRC the issue is not sign stealing per se, but attending opponents' games. The filming has nothing to do with it, apparently. Just going to the games at all is the violation. It's not clear if it's okay if a complete stranger (or at least someone not employed by your school) goes, videotapes the opponent, and donates the film to you. This is a fairly new rule (or guideline or whatever they call it), from the 1990s I think. The original discussion was about fairness for the poorer schools, because of course those tickets and the travel are just beyond the means of Toledo, Miami of Ohio, and their ilk. Nothing about whether "sign stealing" is some sort of ethical or moral affront, mind you. There was talk of going in that direction so maybe something was added that makes it a foul for your staff to watch opponents' sidelines during a game and discern their signals and communicate their findings to coaches either live or at half-time.
  17. In retrospect, most of my disdain for Nebraska has been directed more toward Tom Osborne. While I have similar feelings about Rhule's choice of sideline attire, I don't particularly wish ill to the team itself. I join all who hope to see the Huskers de-pants not just Coach Prime's team, but several of their fellow B1G members as well.
  18. Translation: "We haven't admitted shit, and we will continue to not say shit, to NCAA investigators. We are will aware that NCAA penalties against Michigan will, as always, be applied to Eastern Michigan, West Michigan, and/or Central Michigan, so fuck NCAA and its investigators."
  19. Who's Jimbo's Agent?
  20. You've spelt "artificial intelligence" incorrectly.
  21. It was legal at the time. It came in a little bottle and you put a 1/2 teaspoon of it in a six ounce glass, filled the glass with soda water, stirred it up with the teaspoon, and slurped that stuff down. Excellent for headaches and/or brain-fog. I wish I was the guy who came up with the idea of pre-mixing it and bottling it. Dub had twice the caffeine, but that was later - but was still before Jolt.
  22. Looks more like a bus stop top than a bus top. Stop.
  23. The preferred nomenclature is simply "RC". There is no "Cola" in the correct appellation of that beverage, although it may be added at times for the convenience of folk who are unfortunate enough to hail from certain northerly latitudes, or others of similar ignorance. Southerners who are more knowledgeable regarding the availability of darkly hued libations are aware that the favored companion of a Moon Pie is a Dub. Again, note the lack of the - need we say, unnecessary - additional "Cola". As a member of a group which may be considered as Johnny-come-latelies, you should refrain from feeling yourself unduly criticised or in any way unwelcome, as you are more than appreciated in the very bosom of the SECSECSEC and environs, as are your moneys and your prestige.
  24. I get the general impression there's a lot of folks around here that ain't never had an ice-cold I mean ice-fucking-cold Dub - that'd be Double Cola to mosta y'all - and a Moon Pie on a hot August day. Nor probably a Gruntstick and a Sweetjuice Cola. Getting old sucks. Hook'em
