  1. "No, sweetie, the pants don't make your butt look big. No, ma'am. It's not the pants."
  2. Almost all of us can see into the past, but only some of us see into the future with any real accuracy.
  3. How many more games does DJU start or even play in before Norvell shrinks into a puddle of goo and disappears?
  4. Not the worst, but... Wrong Carolina, imo.
  5. Just got back on. Huge longtime OCMS fan. What song did the idiots cover?
  6. Soon as I seent this picture, I started hearing the Benny Hill Yakety-sax theme.
  7. As do we all. EDIT: mainly because it means he - and by extension, the team - kicked ass this season. Looking back to '09, Colt would have won it if not for Donkey Kong Sue.
  8. Paul Hornung (mid-1950s - I think '56?) won it while playing for a miserable team. QB and HB and Kicker for Notre Dame but won only two games. He was a star in pro ball, too. Lombardi loved him at Green Bay. Guarantee nobody on a team with a losing record even shows up on the ballot any more.
  9. Now define circular... In the game the first was definitely targeting. The second was borderline. The field refs were XII. Generally, at least the last ten or so years, visitors' refs are on the field and home refs man the review staff, although I think that's a contract matter and we played Bama in Austin with XII refs and in Tuscaloosa with SEC refs. (Side note: my book says we won that first Bama game; our own conference refs fucked us out of two points and a short field. PK and the D failed us there, just as they did the 2023 0U game.)
  10. IIRC they offered it to Vince (when they stripped Bush) but he turned it down. Too bad he didn't take it - I don't think they have sufficient scrotal circumference to take it away from Vince or make it a tie...
  11. T-O, ASU ball on TxSt 18 3rd and 8. Damn, 1st and goal. Def game.
  12. Ballgame - almost. 02:00 warning. Maybe magic happens. But I doubt it. SWT looks decent, better than I expected, but I didn't PM Traylor
  13. 4th and 5 02:26 to go
  14. 31-28 ASU 03:35 TXST ball on own 23
  15. INT. Shit.
  16. well... okay, plenty of time. Take most or all of the clock, make the TD and leave ASU not enough time. Profit. Still have nightmares aboubt the 2023 0U game, though.
  17. Someone check that contract. Maybe they can bring Jimbo back and save 7 or 8 million a year.
  18. Someone suggested GJ might be on his way to Waco if Therapists season with Aranda goes as expected. I'd rather he go to Colorado when Prime leaves.
  19. Absofuckinglutely it was. Field refs XII, dunno about review refs. Bad bad call.
  20. Coaching apparently makes a difference.
  21. 'Cats score. Fun game so far.
  22. After seeing quite a few 'tubes of the Meatchicken game, and hearing various talking heads processing the lavish praise for the team in general, Ewers particularly, and Sarkisian overall for both his superb play-calling and being a working CEO putting the whole package together... after all that, I was considering what stands out for Quinn, as compared to last year. Lots of talk about improved footwork, and that's for sure. He doesn't try to "make a play" on every single snap - he reads at least two targets every time, and he takes what's available, or throws it away, and that's big. But I think what stands out to me is that he has stopped self-sacking. There were several instances when the pocket was collapsing around him and he stepped up and hit his target. Last year - like the preceding one - he would have tried to get out the back and wind up giving up a big sack. It's also apparent that he sees the Defense much more clearly, both pre- and post-snap, and knows where to go. Not only are we better than we thought, we're better than we hoped. Damn, I'm looking forward to Georgia's visit. Hook'em
  23. Not a derail, just a bit of clarification. This is from late August in the "tell me about 0U" thread.
  24. Not about her looks.
  25. Bad analogy. Linda Lovelace sucks.
