  1. The problem is that "somebody" calls up a guy and says "Hey, my buddy Bill told me Alabama is looking for a kicker. If you were in the portal, he heard they'd make you an offer you wouldn't want to turn down."
  2. You know, it definitely is a great motto: The Lone Star Showdown: One Great Program... and Its Little Brother
  3. More like stupid, than crazy. Unless... you're gonna be able to get transfers in while playoffs in progress? Hahahaha!
  4. I am. I expect that as well, just questioning how much and how often. It has looked (and sounded) like Ewers has gotten better at avoiding sacks and either throwing it away or hitting checkdowns, but we dunno just yet. First question there is whether the OL can keep him clean. If not, can he handle it? If he stumbles, will we see Manning early? Gonna be a fun game. Similar outcome to Bama 2023 wouldn't surprise me much.
  5. +1 on most of the first two games. First game, want to see DBs covering decently and EDGEs eating QB lunch; Ewers and Blue getting us up enough, early enough, that we get to see plenty of backup offense. Second one... we should see a stout D from the weasels, and that should tell us a lot about our run game. Not sure how much pressure they can put on QB, but expect to see some and our response will also be telling. We have almost the same situation as last year: scrimmage in game one and a must-win in game two. Meatchicken gots a lot of questions, but so did Bama. Both away games, both in Blueblood Heavens. Gonna be a verrrry interesting couple of weeks. Hook'em
  6. This'un's fuckin' bonza, needs more love. Get on it, ya fuckin' cunts.
  7. Local grocery store, long ago, was a Coca Cola Company test site. Every summer it would have at least two test sodas from Coke, in a plain bottle, with the name painted on it, and cheaper than the regular stuff so people would actually buy it. One summer the two test flavors were a cherry-lime flavor very close to what we used to get at the drug store soda fountain, with coke syrup, cherry syrup, and a twist of lime that was fucking delicious, and a kinda fruity too sweet thing. The first one was called Chime, the second was Mister Pibber. The consensus around the place was Chime by a long shot, so either the other test site didn't like Chime, or the execs at CoCola were morons. Coca Cola made a huge mistake with that choice. Just my opinion.
  8. Obsession noted.
  9. LL Moms > Soccer Moms, or nah?
  10. So, Father O'Brien, when you say you can't answer that, is it because you don't know, or you're not allowed to say? "I can't answer that."
  11. Emergency Looch button needs coin slot.
  12. Doodle Bug Etoufee. Chock full of Crunchy Goodness.
  13. Mandela Effect weirdness... +1 for cornucopia Also, having read aloud to children for several years, def Berenstain Bears and not Berenstein. I have German relatives with "stein" in name - stines, not steens - and guarantee I noticed.
  14. Fox better, no doubt. Nick too used to being the star, may be petulant about it. But he communicates well and he knows WTF he's talking about. Looking forward to seeing him some. But what do I know - I like Urban's takes, too.
  15. Do these words actually belong in a Texas recruiting thread? Or any other discussion about Texas...
  16. Tough, but fair.
  17. Sarkisian failed to prepare his players to execute, or perhaps he just failed to notice his players weren't executing the plays in practice. Maybe he was too busy to notice his DC wasn't getting his players ready to stop a passing attack for 60 seconds. Saint Darrell understood scoreboard control.
  18. Yes, and if you have more points on the scoreboard at the end, you win. Where would you rather they pee?
  19. I could wind up watching a couple of B1G games that I normally wouldn't even consider otherwise. Hook 'em
  20. No woooooosh. Agreeing. Just adding reason for assuming/hoping more attention to be paid by HC who has misunderestimated 0U and Arkysaw already.
  21. We can hope that being free of worries about wife and kiddies gives Sark more time for contemplating the idea that EVERY game counts and must be approached with the mindset that nothing less than 10/10 will do. Put the wheels on the ground immediately, not halfway down the runway.
