  1. What are we attributing Green's swoon to? A lot of people are pointing out that he's a ball dominant scorer while Fred of course is a facilitator. They just don't see like a good pairing. I'd hate to move Green for more picks. I think we something more proven in return. What's good value for Green?
  2. I think where aggy truly erred was not spending big on the 2021 (9th in 247 class rankings) and 2023 (10th in 247 class rankings) classes. And Jimbo just not engaging with the portal. Blowing your bankroll on a single class doesn't work. While a great class, the 2022 class had some gaping holes. Namely offensive line. Much like the NFL draft, it's nearly impossible to address all your team needs in a single cycle. Bobby and Gerry have always pointed to 3 consecutive top 5 classes as the key barometer to building a national championship roster.
  3. I think she was asking $1k. To make it even funnier, Spec's posted a picture of the lady holding the bottle on their Facebook account. People of course embedded the link to her sale advertisement in the comments. The Spec's mod of course never commented.
  4. I'll be pretty gruntled if we get Foster and call it a day. I wish he had been more "encouraged" to sign this week. Dubose is the only questionable take. I think they're recruiting Bussey at star. Probably his best fit on defense. He's a little short for corner, and he's not as good Filsaime and Rubell at safety. I probably wouldn't pay what aggy is willing to shell out to keep him. McKinley has ran out of welcomes in my book especially with a high upside replacement like Foster in place, but you have to trust Big 12 Champion/CFP coaching.
  5. I'm disappointed the SEC didn't schedule Ole Miss at aggy next year. It should have been glorious.
  6. Metchie ran into some bad luck, but yeah the NFL is a cold blooded business. It's a bad pick. Normally, I'd say a stud WR can overcome an ACL, but an ACL + cancer is just too much from anybody to bounce back from. Agree on Mills. Keenum's arm strength limits him to what, throwing maybe half of the NFL route tree? The Titans looking like the 85 Bears last week should have been an indicator for the Texans coaching staff.
  7. I bet there will be at least a thousand in Houston. The 2022 cart debacle and that shitty list should be deterrents, but plenty of people will roll the dice because they have a couple days off from work. If memory serves from last year, first in line got an ORVW. Next 30 got BTAC. First 100 got Willett SiB. I believe the first camper showed up 84 hours before the drop. The ORVW recipient wasn’t the first camper. She was a middle aged female. The first campers were young, bearded hobos. Make out that what you will. The ORVW was on Facebook before 11am. I believe a guy got pinched in the parking lot for trying to sell BTAC to an undercover TABC agent either last year or 2021. While waiting in line in 2021, I saw dozens of “hood shots” that ended up on Facebook. Spec’s could give a shit because the lines bring attention to their store. If I had a dollar for every time some guy passing through asked the Russian at Smith if they had any Stagg Jr in the back, I could probably break even there. That said, I think it’s a business model. The guy asking for Stagg isn’t going to turn around and buy a Walking Stick pick. He’s just going to leave.
  8. I'd like to see the campout bullshit die a brutal death, but I think they're here to stay. Idiots have been camping out in Kentucky for the past 10 years. I was planning to drive down to Beaumont at like 4 in the morning this year, but I'm glad I didn't. One of the Longhorn campers spent the night in a lawn chair for a bottle of Jack Heritage Rye. Surely, a night with his wife/girlfriend/family/friends is worth more than the $250 he saved on secondary prices.
  9. Fairly obvious that the plan was for Keenum to NEVER play. But Davis Mills sucking out loud killed the plan. Take the L. Try and win the division.
  10. Bud Elliott goes full legal regard because he still thinks a lawyer. To summarize: Bud thinks the GOR is no big deal because Florida State has “private equity” connections to finance the whole thing. I think the Florida Legislature will have something to say about a state school taking $550 million dollar loan from Saudi Arabia. He also thinks FSU has leverage because they’re the last big domino and the Big Ten and SEC would welcome them. Sort of, kind of, maybe acknowledges a pissed off ESPN could be a problem. “Well, maybe FSU might have to go independent for a year to create some separation from the ACC and appease ESPN.” Uh, WTF?! ESPN is going to still be pissed off after a year. Another 10 minutes of Bud and Danny Kanell wishcasting FSU into the SEC. “We already play Florida!”
  11. Tony Grimes taking the aggys money and then sitting out the ENTIRE season is quite the move. Well done.
  12. 23 holds more than the OU offensive line. Also the refs and their handlers must have HAMMERED the under.
  13. Stingley needs to attach a lanyard to Cooper for the rest of the game. I guess they were in zone or some bullshit on that 75 yard touchdown, but some CB off the street doesn't need to be within 10 yards of their best WR. Just grind them out and kick 3-4 field goals to win.
  14. Well that helps. Imagine being so bad at kickoff coverage that Pierce outruns you.
  15. Yep, we're going to need to a score on specials or defense. There's no way we can to get 10 on offense alone with Keenum at QB.
  16. The Browns have a pretty brilliant defensive strategy. Hold on every single play.
  17. Merry Christmas to thread. Hopefully we can go home next week and I can open something nice.
  18. “Kayce Smith has pointy elbows. Would not bang.” - Signed, surly
  19. There will be no Pappy or Die Hard tonight, but I’m happy. A family member had successful surgery earlier this week. Count your blessings. I’ll be sneaking pulls off of a Woodford Reserve pint between nurse visits, but I’ll do so with a smile.
