  1. I'll bet he is Never Going Back Again.
  2. OK, finally had a chance to go see the movie and was pleasantly surprised. As others have said it isn't exactly the book - no movies are but I get that, I'm sure licensing issues for all the items referenced in the book would be almost impossible to get. My nephew who I went with and has never read the book enjoyed it so it looks like the rare movie that appeals to both purist and those going in with a clean slate. Also glad I paid the extra $ for IMAX, this film deserves it. Only disappointment - where were the Rush songs? After Tom Sawyer was such a big part of the previews I was really waiting for it. Oh well, if that is my biggest gripe I will call it a win.
  3. This.

You have One Crazy Summer but no Better Off Dead???
  5. "Do you hear that, Will? Young Cunningham here was unable to tell arse from quim. What say you to that?" "I've heard that many Englishmen have that same difficulty." Great flick with one of the best sword fights ever filmed. Although after posting the quote above I should probably qualify which type of sword fight I am talking about, lol.
  6. Happy Birthday (belated) to you Sir!
  7. In the great days before autotune.

I know someone posted First Aid Kit on the first page and as much as I love their cover of Black Sabbath it doesn't really allow them to show of their harmony skills, which is what these two are all about. Not bad for sisters from Stockholm.
  9. A fantastic and groundbreaking movie.
  10. One of the best ads ever - I can't believe it came from a store as big as KMart. P.S. - no idea why it repeats.
  11. I can agree with that. As for Hayes Carll, this is my favorite:
  12. Since we are talking snake guns.
  13. Same here. Greatness.
  14. Interesting but I am more of an Orff kind of guy.
  15. As other have said I really think of them as two different bands. Early VH was raw and powerful but towards the end they were going more pop. The Hagar years were fun, not groundbreaking in any way, but fun.
  16. Mega bonus points for Evil Roy Slade. John Astin is pure genius in that movie. The professionals was also greatness.
  17. I know the show came out on Cinemax last year but if you didn't catch it the first time around I highly recommend it. Mike Judge from Bevis and Butt Head fame does "live animation" interviews telling the story of country and western legends. Some of the most informative & hilarious stuff I have ever seen.
  18. Hey Beth you're all grown up - can we start stabbing again?
  19. I enjoyed it, always liked historical works. And Dakota Fanning is curiously attractive.
  20. John Wayne's The Cowboys. "I regret trifling with married women. I'm thoroughly ashamed at cheating at cards. I deplore my occasional departures from the truth. Forgive me for taking your name in vain, my Saturday drunkenness, my Sunday sloth. Above all, forgive me for the men I've killed in anger....................................................and those I am about to."
  21. Nervous? Yes First time? No, I've been nervous lots of times.
  22. Jim never vomits at home....
  23. Greatness.
  24. You fargin sneaky bastage. I'm gonna take your dwork. I'm gonna nail it to the wall. I'm gonna crush your boils in a meat grinder. I'm gonna cut off your arms. I'm gonna shove 'em up your icehole. Dirty son-a-ma-batches.
