Watched The Water Diviner with Russel Crow last night.
I had never heard of it but enjoyed it. Post WW I movie about a father trying to locate his sons bodies. Not a light movie by any means but not near as dark as the subject matter would make you believe it would be.

Season 2 has been killing it.
I really enjoyed the first season but now that they have left the "based on a true story" part behind it has really allowed thee writes to branch out.
Yea, I liked her as Ratcatcher2 in Suicide Squad.
I actually appreciated not having stereotypical blonde in the role - Portuguese women are some hotties.
Voices didn't bother me and it started off good but kind of ended up meh. I will continue to watch it.
Did you notice the names removed from the beginning credits wrap up tile? They still have them in the ending credits as creators.
Pretty much this.
Big WA fan but this one just didn't seem to click with me as much as some of his others. I need to watch it again as there is always so much going on I tend to miss some of it. Was this way for me with grand Budapest - I was OK with it on first viewing but now it is one of my favorites.
Not a rip on the show per sey but is it just me or are the ads out of control. Seems the ratio of show to ads is way off - substantially more than on other shows.
For an hour show I swear I am only getting 30 min of actual programming.
I just finished season 2.
A few thoughts:
I liked it better than season1
Mia gave a strong Dakota Johnson vibe (not a bad thing)
F Murray Abraham is a treasure
I have watched all 3 episodes available so far and am really digging it.
Toughest part for me is seeing Baby from Baby Driver with long hair and talking a lot, even if it is Japanese. But I give the guy full kudos - apparently he learned Japanese when he landed the part. Ken Watanabe is great. Blond "hottie" is only so-so, guessing she was hired more for language skills that hotness.
