  1. Yea, that one stretched credibility. I am far more pissed about who she hit with that shot & sincerely hoping it isn't the end it looks to be.
  2. No fight here. In fact I think I am going to break out the Local Hero soundtrack.
  3. Changing scene was worth a replay. Hard to believe AA is 44. Damn...
  4. Agree 100% - her rants in the books are epic and would starch a sailors uniform. I do think they have the right actress in place for her and I am hoping Amazon lets them let loose a little.
  5. Lone Star is one of the few modern movies that I think accurately depicts Texans.
  6. I caught it last week by accident and was impressed. Already have the series set up to record.
  7. I re watched a few episodes the other day - fantastic. If ever a show cried out for remastering and HD this is it.
  8. Going to see First Aid Kit in September. Hot Swedish sisters that harmonize like angels - how is this a bad thing????
  9. As many others have said - City of God is fantastic. I also really like: Mediterraneo - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0102426/?ref_=nv_sr_2 Run Lola Run https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0130827/?ref_=nv_sr_1 Hard Boiled https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104684/?ref_=nv_sr_1 Das Boot https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082096/?ref_=nv_sr_1
  10. We got our own ammunition, it's filled with paint. When we fire it, it makes pretty pictures. Scares the hell outta people! We have a loudspeaker here, and when we go into battle we play music, very loud. It kind of... calms us down.
  11. I really enjoyed it as well. And while Cameron had her moments I am 100% Team Donna as well.
  12. Such a great artist. His visits to Letterman were epic.
  13. And now for something completely different - how about a former military Land Rover. It tops out at about 50 MPH even after I added an overdrive but man is it a blast to drive in the summer.
  14. This was my 1977 Dirk Diggler special. I really loved that car but ended up selling it when I had a chance to get into a C2 - my current '64 Corvette.
  15. Agree 100%. The older I get the less fucks I give about looks and the more I give about comfort - especially with shoes (or in this case boots).
  16. I'm traveling to Orlando tomorrow for business and am planning on swinging by Randall Made. I was there a few years ago but they were in the process of moving into the new museum so I didn't get to see any of that. I was able to pick up a nice Model 16 - SP1 that someone had ordered but they couldn't contact - happens a lot when there is a 5 year backlog. Hoping to make another score this time.
  17. A little bit of Junior should fit in real nice here.
  18. OK, finally had a chance to go see the movie and was pleasantly surprised. As others have said it isn't exactly the book - no movies are but I get that, I'm sure licensing issues for all the items referenced in the book would be almost impossible to get. My nephew who I went with and has never read the book enjoyed it so it looks like the rare movie that appeals to both purist and those going in with a clean slate. Also glad I paid the extra $ for IMAX, this film deserves it. Only disappointment - where were the Rush songs? After Tom Sawyer was such a big part of the previews I was really waiting for it. Oh well, if that is my biggest gripe I will call it a win.
  19. You have One Crazy Summer but no Better Off Dead???
  20. "Do you hear that, Will? Young Cunningham here was unable to tell arse from quim. What say you to that?" "I've heard that many Englishmen have that same difficulty." Great flick with one of the best sword fights ever filmed. Although after posting the quote above I should probably qualify which type of sword fight I am talking about, lol.
  21. Happy Birthday (belated) to you Sir!
